    • Thank you. Added to post :)

  • Great deal. Thank you, OP.

    Get some sleep TA.

Or do you have the Internet in your dreams

    • +1

I'm expecting TA to reply with something corny like

"I only have you in my dreams" lawl

  • Looks like a new tie for Dad from Henry Bucks. Cheers OP :)

  • Will the some of the stores spill payment, e.g. a pair of shoes from Aquila? as I have registered my two Amex.

    • Yup - should be fine.

T&C…"Offer only applies to spend on this Card. It does not apply to spend on any supplementary Cards on this account or any other American Express Cards you might hold."

      • +1

That just means you have to register both the primary and supplementary cards.

  • Might be alright if you already found a bargain at one of these stores…

ps. applies in store only and there a are a number of stores that are excluded so check the conditions.

    • In store only :(.. Especially with free shipping currently on the Quiksilver site. No store in SA. Oh well, enjoy!

  • Thx TA, this will be useful for my gf, mum and sisters

  • Do you think the stores at harbour town also qualify?

    • +1

      From the T&C

The following brands have stores that are excluded from this offer:
Jeanswest Stores: Geelong, Ballarat, Wendouree, Bendigo, Shepparton & Davenport
      Review Stores: Pacific Fair
NoniB Stores: Kangaroo Flat, Aspley & Pakenham

  • Jeanswest also currently have a 'buy one item, get 50% off the second'* offer which this may be good to pair with.

*Discount applies on the lowest value item(s) in the transaction. Limited time only. Excludes gift cards, laybys, charity items and tailoring. Excludes Clearance and Outlet stores. Not in conjunction with any other offer.

    • Oxford has 60% off everything until 22nd March.

Stack with the amex offer and the prices are almost reasonable…

      • just bought a 100% wool suit from their outlet for $199 ($139 after the amex cashback - had split the transaction with 3 cards)

        • -3

I'm tempted to neg your comment … should've bought a $1 accessory and split it across a 4th card in true OzBargain style.

Don't have a 4th card? Amex issued cards are really good with sending a supplementary card overnight :)

        • @sp00ker:

only had 3 amex cards (BTW - i haven't neg you)

  • Is 'Glue' Glue Store? Or something else?

    • +1

It's Glue store. I just bought something and got the email straight away saying my purchase qualified.

      • Brilliant, thanks for that.

  • Any exclusion for gift cards?

    • Can't find any exclusions for gift cards in the full terms and conditions. Great idea!

  • Just split payment at Quicksilver and then Aquila, worked perfectly at Quicksilver but second round of payback for purchases at Aquila have not come through. Can you only claim once per day? Weird.
Says claim at upto 3 different brands.

    • +1

I had something similar happen. It works fine at jeanswest on friday got an immediate email regarding the $20 statement credit from amex. Today went to glue store and spent 150 split across 3 cards and 2 hours later still no amex email

      • Im going to send them an email, could be a glitch in the system

        • AMEX suggested I wait for upto 8 weeks…

        • +1

          @dendens:

On some other promotions, I didn't receive an email confirmation (when I registered or when I spent) … but the credit showed up a few days later.

        • @sp00ker: Thanks for sharing that, I will learn some patience. Nothing like the feeling of the amex email coming through straight after the purchase :)

        • @dendens:
Have you got your credit yet? I made a purchase at Review on Sunday and got an email straight away but nothing for my purchase an hour later at JeansWest. I also have only one $20 credit, both stores were definitely participating.

        • +1

@minniethemoocher: Nope have not received payment for the second purchase. Hopefully AMEX realise there is a problem soon!

  • I just had the same thing happen to me. Worked fine at Quicksilver DFO Brisbane and received the e-mail instantly. Used it at Rodd and Gunn and split a $110.00 sale over two cards. One card worked with an e-mail instantly, the other didn't. I did notice that the card that didn't get the e-mail was the one I used for the Quicksilver sale. This card is now showing the offer as redeemed even though it has only been claimed once. Must be some sort of glitch!

    • I agree there is a glitch, I used mine once but says redeemed!

  • Yes definitely a glitch… i dont believe i have ever experienced any delays with the amex credits before. The confirmation email is always instantly sent at time of the qualifying transaction.

Im not sure what can be done but ill be definitely returning my gear i bought at glue if its not sorted out soon. That place is a major rip off without the promotion to soften the blow!

  • I only got the credit for the first time I used the offer. The other two have not worked and it's been more than a week.
Has anyone been able to get Amex to fix this up on their accounts?

    • I had the same issue, sent them a quick email and just got a reply from Amex customer service confirming that the $20 credit will be applied to my account shortly as my purchase met all terms of the promotion.

      • Did you get the credit? I emailed them and got an email saying wait another 10 days and contact us again then. Ugh frustrating!

        • Yes, $20 credit appeared on my account as Credit Adjustment within 48 hours.

  • I contacted them via the email contact form when logged into the website and they gave me back the extra 2 * $20 credits.

    • Do you remember the option you picked? I selected statement credit and have sent 2 emails but it hasn't been fixed. Maybe I should have picked the option "offer".

  • Can confirm that I received my 2nd round of credit, per card, came through yesterday. Purchases were made on the 19/3.
