    Lol, thumbnail doesn't match!

    • Yeah, I know. You can click the 128gb card from the ones listed underneath.

  • Wasn't the 200GB version only $59.99 a couple of days ago?

    • That was around $82 shipped.

  • anyone know if UHS-1 fast enough for 4k recording on my Samsung s7?

    • +2

UHS-1, yes. This refers to the interface i.e. the physical contacts between the card and the device. The maximum write speed on a UHS-1 card is around 90-95mb/s (Sandisk extreme pro and Samsung evo pro).

U1, no. This refers to the minimum write speed, with U1 meaning a minimum speed of 10mb/s. As a general rule, consumer 4k requires at least 20mb/s (depends on bit rate) so the minimum requirement is usually U3 (30mb/s).

TL;DR This card is probably unsuitable for 4k recording. The best value in terms of cost/reliability/storage trade off are the new Sandisk extreme (U3) range. The 64gb can be had on ebay for less than $50 delivered.

      • Actual bitrate of most smartphones (incl. S7) 4K recording is around 6MBps (~50Mbps).

Note generally lower case b denotes Bits & Upper Case B denotes Bytes

        • Fair enough. Looks like the S7 for 4k records at 48 megabits/s, so yes, a U1 would be able to handle that in theory.

Rule of thumb for me has always been U3 for 4k (until the new V ratings become en vogue), but this might work.

      • excellent info, thank you!

    • MSY has the Kingston SDXC UHS-1 read 80MBs write 10MBs on special for $69 …..extra $ saves waiting for the postman

  • why is pic 200gig card

    • Some quirk… The system won't accept the URL for the 128 GB card

  • Anyone had luck with returns with Amazon? Had a DOA item and for returns they will refund up to $15.
Being a 3KG item postage for return is $80! Even for the smallest package 200g austpost charges $14.10.

    • i returned a defective kindle before and they refunded me the shipping cost included - part of their returns handling cost of doing online biz i think

It was 55 AUD shipped last week though

  • Have these been on sale at Amazon for a month?
Seems they're still the same price.
