Nikon D90 dSLR + 18-105mm VR, $1089.44 + shipping. (30 days warranty)

15

I recently bought this camera with the same lens from ebay for $1300. Bing Lee quoted me about $1500+.

if you dont mind the 30 days warranty, i think this is actually a very good bargain.

30 days warranty? WTH. Not even the minimum 1 yr so sounds like a dodgy deal.

    Grey import..

    AND

    it states…

    1. Item will be shipped directly from Hongkong warehouse via Fedex or DHL, transit time are generally 4-7 working days. Please check exact transit time by postcode on FEDEX website.
    3. No GST is included in the price, as personal use imports qualify for Customs duty concessions*.

Point 3 is WRONG. GST will most likely be charged, along with Cutom fees as it's over $1000. They need to read: http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5549.asp

cheaper grey imports available waste of time with no warranty no deal!!
nikon currently has $200 cashback as well

  • Spend over 1K but only 30 days warranty…NO DEAL!
    Where's the bargain?!?!?!

  • lame…who "wouldn't mind 30 day warranty" when blowing 1k on something?

  • it's an okay price for a grey import of the d90 but I've seen it cheaper online but retail stores such as harvey norman and jbhifi are still selling it above this with different combination of lenses.

if you are indeed worried about warranty. there's an extended warranty of 12 months that can be purchased for about 49-79 dollars when I visited that website.

    • Also it's not manufactuer's warranty. It's :

" This Extended Warranty is provided by TopBuy Australia in cooperation with reputable camera service centres. "

  • ouch bad conditions

  • Grey Import. You can get the bundle cheaper than this if you're gonna make the sacrifice of not buying from an authorised Australian distributor.

    Here's the main differences:

That said, if you're prepared to overlook warranty claim shortfalls, then search ebay/google etc for cheaper grey import deals.

  • Wow….Almost $70 shipping to Adelaide…….

    cheaper here…

Still grey, but $30 shipping, and an alleged 12 month warranty

I'm awaiting a delivery from them now…..so far they've been very good (communication-wise)…..but I will reserve judgment til I have the camera in my sweaty little hand……
