Looking for Cheapest Price for Phone (Preferably in Adelaide) for Prepaid

Hi guys, basically as the subject says my mum basically wants a phone, and she is hinting for either a Samsung S6 edge or Samsung S7 edge (or recommend me a similar phone), but as we all know, they are quite pricey. Was wondering if there is somewhere in Adelaide where I can at least get a good price for a prepaid one, or the best I can get besides just walking into a random store and just hoping.

I know best thing would be to wait for an OzBargain deal, but as its for her birthday coming up I don't really have too much choice on the matter unless its quite a good choice (for example a few hundred dollars buying online would be worth the extra wait sort of thing). I've liked a lot of prices on places like Kogan, but unfortunately my mum isn't the best with electronics (she just knows whats expensive, and that she wants it) so preferably getting a place where the warranty is easy to deal with would be best (so I'm worried about grey imports).

    You could open up tabs for the 5 main stores- TGG, Harvey Norman, JB-HIFI, Officeworks, BingLee look for the phones you're interested in eg. if its Samsung s6/s7 and compare prices between all of them.

    Then open up another tab for whatever network you need eg. Optus, Telstra, Vodafone and check their prepaid selection and price.

      Thanks mate, that list of stores is exactly what I'm looking for, as I can check through the different prices of stores I didn't know existed in Adel. All I could think of was Telstra store (and optus) and JB HiFi lol so this gives me a lot more to compare.

        Bing Lee is NSW only if you want a physical shopfront.

        You need to do a lot more (window) shopping and/or pay attention to stores around you! Being knowledgeable even in simple things like this will save you heaps of money and time in the future.

        Keep in mind some stores do pricematch (provided they have stock). There's no BingLee in Adelaide, but some stores may still pricematch, factoring in the postage cost though.

          Lol definitely true, unfortunately I'm from country SA, so hoping to do my research and then buy the phone as we (family) go for a trip to Adel. Unfortunately here most window shopping comes from an IGA and a post office XD. But definitely will keep that in mind mate. Thanks for the info!!

          And will also definitely ask about price matching, hopefully will end up with a good deal.

    you can definitely save a fair bit of coin by going for a grey import, and some ship quite quickly.

    For Australian stock, check out MobileCiti. They are usually pretty cheap, and you might be able to use them to haggle down JB/HN etc.

      Definitely seeing that as well, I might take another look at grey imports and try to balance out what I prefer. Thanks for the MobileCiti info as well, checking online they seem to be the cheapest so far so definitely at the front of my list at the moment.

    I strolled into Dicksmith Arndale today (had to kill 10 mins). I noticed an iPhone 6 16gb for $750 and a Huawei Y5 for $70.
    Personally I like Huawie phones, but it's not in the S6 category hipe category. But both seem a good price.

    P.S. 40% of all Telstra prepaid phones at DSE, but the 2 above were the only worth mentioning at DSE Arndale

      Thanks for the info mate!! Didn't know there was still some open, so will definitely check out the Dicksmith stores. The iPhone is sounding quite good as well. True about the Huwei, I think my mum cares more about the "brand" then she really should to be honest but anyways lol.

      Lucky, she is currently on Telstra right now as well, so definitely will check in on DSE and see what stock is left.

      Were there any other mid-sized high end phones left? I completely forgot a dse store existed there, I'm guessing I'm not the only one, hence an iphone left!
