    US$174.99 - US$175.99 Shipped from AliExpress

Don't even bother finishing the description ;)

    • +7

Not saying there is anything wrong but some people might not be comfortable buying off Aliexpress (and especially when the difference in price is only around $5) so I think that neg is a bit harsh.

      • -4

All much of a muchness, DM (like all HK stores) have a ton of 1 star reviews as well…

      • -8

I'd rather buy from Aliexpress than some random website I've never heard of.

        No deal

        • +2

Seems they have done a fair amount of deals on Ozbargain

        • +1

Not sure why the mods aren't removing blatant invalid neg votes like this, it's a wonder members spend their time posting deals anymore.

        • -1

@28Degrees: if it's cheaper elsewhere, that's a valid neg. Perhaps you should read the rules? This is cheaper at AliExpress, so it's not a bargain.

OP claimed people would rather buy from them than AliExpress. I pointed out that's not true in my case. And since when did "I'd rather buy from store X" make something a bargain?

        • +3

Show me in the rules where it says you can vote negative on a deal because you haven't heard of an online store before, which is what you said, nothing else.
If you are voting negative on a deal because it's cheaper somewhere else then say that in your comment.

        • @28Degrees: I was responding to OP's comment, and replying to Spackbace's, so I would think it was fairly obvious why I negged.

        • @magicmoose: Whilst that's a rule, the site doesn't take down deals even if its cheaper else where.

        • +1

@GameChanger: no, and I didn't suggest it should be taken down. I downvoted it, because that's literally what that function is for.

        • @magicmoose: I had this discussion with the Mods and what I noticed it only exists for formality reasons. Did you know if any of your comments that have >5 neg votes automatically revokes your Negative deal vote.

        • -1

          @GameChanger:

I noticed it only exists for formality reasons

I use it so people know that deal isn't the cheapest available price.

          Did you know…

          yes. That's what happened here

        • +2

          @GameChanger:

A negative vote is a sign that the deal or vendor isn't good. It can also affect store reps posting limits if they don't get a high enough average vote count. A member doesn't have to remove a deal if it receives too many neg votes, nor does a store. Members normally choose to have it removed when they find out it's cheaper elsewhere, or a dud store, or just a normal price, or whatever.

Unfortunately neg comment voting has a sheep mentality behind it, as does the pos voting as you've pointed out. My comment is at 9 neg votes and counting, besides the fact that it offers a cheaper price and 1 which has been posted as a deal previously (twice!)(which actually has more votes than this deal does so far!). Unfortunately this community doesn't recognise AliExpress properly yet, hence the neg votes on my comment.

        • -1

@Spackbace: And there is the problem, I have outlined so many times… sigh

It wasn't really towards AliExpress, rather your other sentence which isn't friendly. You also didn't state clearly that it's cheaper and which model.

        • +1

          @GameChanger:

Yeah well when I wrote it, it made perfect sense, check the revision history

          More details coming shortly……

That was about the only thing in the body of the deal post. And the 16GB was the only one mentioned at that time.

        • -1

@Spackbace: Not everyone can type fast and from the OP responses so far they have being kind to answer all questions.

I think you may have acted a bit too fast in this case.

    • Explain this neg please?

      • +1

        Item cheaper elsewhere…

Is it worth that to upgrade my LG G3, mine is 2GB RAM, even with customized ROM, it's pretty lagging and was looking for 3GB RAM version, compatible with Telstra 4G, suggestions are welcome and thanks.

    • +2

nope, unless the rom is terrible there shouldnt be lag even on 2gb model, the SD801 will still hold on for some time. id say at this time, unless you have a quad core a7 with 1gb ram or less there's no need to upgrade

    • I have a 2GB LG G3 as well. I'm running CM13 (Nightly 17/4/16) and it is quite good. It was pretty slow until I learned you NEED to set the kernel to conservative governor (the ondemand/interactive code is broken at the moment) and reducing the animation times will help it 'feel' faster. Possibly look at different kernels. I'm looking to upgrade too, but I think I'll hold out for the next batch of Nexii.

    • +1

I just can't imagine SD801 being lagging already. For me it's still plenty of power. It's not really an upgrade, just swap for something new.

  • +1

Was getting annoyed with myself for pulling the trigger on the eGlobal deal until I realised it's diff specs.

    • So was eglobal better st $273?

    • +1

Looks like the same thing. Am I missing something?

Also, the eGlobal deal says it has the 850MHz 4G band. Nowhere else says it does. Typo?

      • -2

edit: got both versions available. Now I am annoyed with myself

eGlobal deal was 3gb and 32gb storage.
        This is 2gb/16gb storage.
The storage isn't a huge deal, because of the expandable memory, but that extra gb ram will help future proof…
At least thats what I'll tell myself to justify my purchase.

    • +1

Same specs but eGlobal deal was only for 32GB version and this deal is for both (16GB and 32GB)

      • this deal is also 32gb

  • How easy is it to root and put new ROM in? Any XDA thread out there?

    • +1

First time Android user here and I flashed mine pretty easy.

    • +1

To root you need to unlock the bootloader from Xiaomi. Flashing official roms is quite easy.

      • +1

The guide you linked me to was for locked bootloader, I did that part quite easily.

        http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html

        Perhaps I'm wrong?

        • +1

With that method you can flash custom rooted roms too but it's not recommended. Better to officially unlock from Xiaomi and flash twrp and then you ROM of choice.

  • Is this DHL delivered?

    • Checking that for you shortly.

      • Thanks.

Also what rom does it come with? Vendor rom? or official Xiaomi one

        • Roger that, back shortly.

        • Ok I have just confirmed with the official rep, the expedited shipping is through DHL however it would help if you put it under Special instructions/comments that "Delivery shall be through DHL" just to be sure that logistics team ships it via DHL.

With regard to the ROM it comes with Xiaomi MIUI ROM with Play Store.

  • Hi OP, how long would shipping take you reckon?

    • +1

Updated that information in the description above.

  • was it just me or same applies to everyone that the total cost including expedited shipping is approximately AUD341?

    • 3GB, 32GB model with expediting shipping should cost you 220.05 USD using the coupon code DMNOTE3PRO1.

      • and AUD?

        • ~ AU$282

  • Does this have the 6.0 upgrade officially released?

    • Not yet, comes with Android Lollipop (5.1) but Marshmellow (6.0) shouldn't be too far off from releasing.

      • Do you know if xiaomi is going to release Marshmallow for this phone? Or you are just guessing?

        • Sorry can only guess at the moment on the basis that older phones like Mi4, Redmi Note 2 and the recent Mi5 all have received the official Marshmallow release.

  • willing to bite if good rom support

    anyone willing to comment?

  • Is this better than the last deal? Which is a more reputable seller?

    • +1

In short no, as the last one included express for 3gb/32g model.

  • Wonder if all the codes have been used up for the 32gb model? I can't seem to get it down to the price as above. Spewing I missed the other deal over the weekend

    • Just checked, the code is still working. Pls check if you are logged in and using the correct code i.e. DMNOTE3PRO1.

If doesn't work, try using another browser.

  • Comes to $313.21 when converted to AUD via the website or am doing something wrong? Have tried using my phone and Android tablet

    • Can you change currency on top right of the website to USD instead and checkout and make payment in USD.

  • So it costs more than the A$282 you quoted above with expedited shipping by the time you pay conversion fees or PayPal international rates.

    • You should never let PayPal do its conversion for international transactions because their conversion rates are very poor. Basically here the 32gb model with expedited shipping should cost you US$209..which if paid in USD without letting PayPal do its conversion using a credit card with no conversion fees (28degree MasterCard) should cost you around $282. If you don't have a credit card with zero conversion fees then you could use any other visa or MasterCard credit card but you will be charged about 3% conversion fee by your credit card. YMMV.

  • coupon code didn't work for me, got "Coupon code can only be used for the product price. It cannot be used together with VIP price, special offers or group deals."

    • Sorry to hear. Please provide more details and I can check. Pls let me know which model were you ordering and what colour. Thanks.

      • I'm having the same problem too.

I'm trying to buy the 32GB model and I got the same message. I've contacted the support desk and got the reply:
"Please kindly understand Coupon code can only be used with one piece price, it can not be used with VIP price, special offer, group deal at the same time. The system will reduce the coupon based on the regular price."

I just want to buy one piece so not sure what I'm doing wrong?

        • Hi, I just did trial and error and found out that this is occurring when you try to order 32GB in Golden colour, I will get it fixed on Monday. The coupon works fine for Silver colour phone.

Sorry for the inconvenience, will update on Monday.

        • +1

          @batrarobin:

Thanks Batrarabin. I'll wait for your update and reattempt on Monday.

        • @BananaTree:

  • what about the space grey colour?

    • Unfortunately gray colour is out of stock for the 32GB variant.

      • thanks for the reply, i guess i'll have to wait till someone's offering it later down the track =)

        • same here

      • Hi mate,

Any idea when will 32gb gray will be back in stock?

        Thanks

  • +1

Thank you boss. Bought a silver one for $282.75 expedited shipping to Brisbane through 28Degrees

  • Hi there. Is this deal still on?

  • Coupon code is not working…

    • Please read my comment above, the coupon code isn't working for 32GB Golden Colour, I will get it fixed on Monday. The coupon should work for the rest.

  • What is the best price and way if you have no credit card? 32GB model with expedited delivery cost 295AUD using paypal. PP conversion rate sucks..

    • Without a credit card, your only option is PayPal with your Australian bank account linked, in which case, PayPal would only let you pay in AUD and you would have to go with PayPal conversion rate.

  • +1

Thank batrarobin. I wait till Monday for the coupon code… cheers

    • Hi porkchop,

Please read the comment above from the official rep w.r.t Golden colour. Alternatively you could go with the price of US$209.99 for Silver colour.

  • Can you also confirm which version of Miui is loaded. I assume is a global variant given Google playstore is loaded but just wanted to double check it's one of these:

    Global rom : V7.1.7.0.LHOMICL, V7.1.8.0.LHOMICL or V7.2.3.0.LHOMIDA.

    Rather than these:
    Chinese rom: V7.1.20.0.LHOCNCL, V7.2.1.0.LHOCNDA, V7.2.2.0.LHOCNDA, or V7.2.3.0.LHOCNDA

Also, any chance of getting them to provide free expedited shipping with DHL?

    Thanks

    • Hi TCM, the official rep tells me that the price they have offered is extremely low without any profit margin and therefore offering a free expedited shipping wouldn't be possible at this stage.

With regard to the version of MIUI ROM, I will ask them if they are able to tell us. I will update here soon if I manage to get the info.

      • Hi mate. Any update on the ROM version please?

  • Attempted to use the voucher on gray, then silver and gold. Error message: "Coupon code can only be used for the product price. It cannot be used together with VIP price, special offers or group deals."

A tad disappointed since I missed the last deal. Please advise? :)

    • Did you try the coupon on 16GB or 32GB? The coupon is working for 32GB Silver. After applying coupon, just look at the subtotal of your cart.

      • Can confirm its not working on 32GB Silver. http://i.imgur.com/xx75FOV.jpg

        • I just checked again, it is definitely working for Silver. : http://imgur.com/uQgATiT

Just confirming if you have used this coupon multiple times from the same account? If yes, try creating a new account and then apply the coupon.

        • +1

          @batrarobin:

Ahh it might be they thought i purchased one before cause i was hesitant and did not buy when going through checkout procedure xD.

          I'll make a new account ;)

  • Tried to purchased the 32GB Silver, entered the code and showed the right amount, but when I tried to checkout the price increased: http://imgur.com/eka82WV

    What's happening?

    • Please see the reply from Official Rep below.

  • Sorry for the inconvenience,we fixed this problem with updated code:
    Coupon code: DMNOTE3PRO1 for the 32GB silver one at $209.99;
coupon code: DMNOTE3PRO2 for the 32GB golden one at $224.99

    • This is a pretty poor effort, many of us waited over the weekend for the gold colour code to work and find the price to be jacked up instead. The gold isn't a deal with the aliexpress option.

  • +1

    Thank batrarobin…

  • +1

Thanks for all the deals, I just ordered the 32gb model :)

  • Just ordered a 32 gb through DHL as well!
    Hopefully, everything works out well.

Anyone get any good cases or covers? Links? :)
