Require an off-the-plan apartment building inspector for Western Sydney for pre-settlement inspection. Does anyone have any good recommends?
Also a few questions regarding the pre-settlement inspection process:
- Do I need to notify my solicitor and what do I need them to do?
- Does anyone have a list of things to check during the inspection?
- Do you recommend taking measurements of each room and compare them with details in the contract. Is it a normal thing to do?
- Is a 3 person limit and 30 minute access limit?
- Do I need to get pest inspection combined as well?
- Is there anything to sign in the process?
Thanks in advance.
If it were my money, I would damn sure check everything. Developers are dodgy as hell.
I wouldn't sign anything during the process. The inspection is either satisfactory or it is not. Your presence at the inspection is not relevant to whether the condition is met or waived. Your solicitor should be the one to communicate satisfaction/otherwise as to each condition in the contract.
