  • I bought the 12+1 month card earlier in the week for $79 and this came out today… sigh

    +shipping?

    $15 postage to Melb..

This code must be shipped…$15.95 to metro sydney…no thanks. Also I looked at this exact product yesterday from Megabuy listed at $82.60. I emailed them asking if they could send the code digitally, to which they replied no. Not sure if they changed the price because I brought it up or just pure coincidence…

    Proof of price change: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http:/…

Cheaper (/cheapest?) here (digital delivery): https://www.wireless1.com.au/xbox-live-24-month-gold-memerbs…

I've been keeping my eye out for deals, wish I knew about www.wireless1.com.au I'll keep them in mind in 13 months time. :)

      • No problem. They have a good reputation from past deals. Also keep an eye out for 15% or 20% off eBay sales because sometimes Wireless1 is one of the participating retailers and they do list these on their eBay store, albeit a few dollars more (due to eBay fees I presume).

      • +1 to Wireless1. Got mine for ~$90 from memory in an Ebay sale.
Emailed the code within about 5-10 minutes, and very prompt response on a query I raised.

        • Wireless1 is posting out codes now and they're a bit slow. I bought mine 2 days ago and they still haven't posted it. Luckily I have a month to go.

Fail. $15 shipping is outrageous… and clearly is intended to bait a potential customer into thinking they are paying a low price.

    • +2

Yeah rip off for posting effectively a piece of paper.

      • +1

They are targeting young kids that tell their parents "look it's only $89"… I've seen it before, it's predatory pricing.

    Pay postage No for me

$16 shipping for an Xbox card!!!!

As spaghettiman and others have mentioned above these guys have a history of dodgy practices…do your research before parting with your money because it could be a while before you see it again.

Rep comes on here every now and then claiming one or two staff members were responsible for all the issues and now that they've left it's all good…but the bad reviews keep rolling in.

    Shipping? What a joke

    Pay Shipping?, nope

  • +3

Think the post got confused shipping gold instead of a paper Xbox gold card.

  • buy from brazil store.
    something like $56 AUD

    • +1

      How?

  • If they were using Australia Post one might well believe that shipping cost.

Also be aware there has been some chatter online gaming will be made free by MS at E3. Now, that is a rumour at this stage but given that E3 is in a couple of months only, it may not be the best time to stock up on a 2 year live subscription, but rather wait and see..

  • Got excited and read +post in the title. Thought, oh yeah, $1 or $2 postage… But WTF? Don't need to even go on the site, think all these reviews are enough…

Oh, and megabuy is a massive turn off. Why have they not been banned here yet?

  • LOL, needs to be posted.

  • Excessive shipping cost. If you insist posting it, $15 is WAY over the top.

  • Bad things about this retailer, I hear.
