Vorwerk Kobold Vacuum - Was $2499 now $1999 @ Godfreys

50

A really good deal to get $500 of a super premium German made vacuum, with a powerbrush to actually clean carpets. I know some OzBargainers wouldn't believe in buying a $2000 vacuum - but hey, some of us want premium products that actually perform haha!

Great thing about godfreys is they offer Certegy Ezipay which is a no interest, take home lay-by option.

    Did you know?

When you're cleaning your vacuum cleaner, you're a vacuum cleaner.

    • +2

      That's deep man.

    • +4

Shouldn't that be vacuum cleaner cleaner?

  • +8

Looks interesting, but I'm after an ultra premium vacuum, not a super premium. Thought this price was too good to be true.

    • Then you'll need to look at the special Volkswagen range…

      • +3

I heard they faked their dust removal efficiency figures..

      • Which would be the Dyson :)

    • +2

Hmm, this would look good with my thermomix
just need to position it so guests trip over it and then I can start the conversation about how much it cost, and I'm depreciating it as something I claim on tax I will partially use to clean my negatively geared properties, and mention that I missed out on the whisky bar at david jones (ozbargain scoop) that was reduced from $20K to $10k …. the best soupmaker, best vaccum, now to send my beautiful kids to a beautiful school and drop them off in a beautiful car by my beautiful wife …… an I ripping off Talking heads lyrics

I think it will suck my house in.

So you don't need to huff and puff anymore?

And I thought Dyson is expensive. But Vorwerk doesn't blow like Dyson, only sucks.

My $120 vacuum cleaner is 8 years old now. If I bought this, it would have to last 133 years to achieve the same cost benefit.

    • Yes but is your $120 vacuum cleaner super premium?

    • Das ist sehr gut!

  • Wow this is bagged as well. How much are the bags if it costs 2k for the it!? At that price, just hit a rainbow.

    • Rainbow does look good. It mops as well. Are they around the same price?

  • My cleaner comes every 2 weeks for $65. Now that's $1999 / $65 = 30.7 biweeks, which is over a year cleaning done in the house.
How could anyone justify buying this…?

    • not comparable since supposedly your carpets would be cleaner using this more powerful vacuum than your house cleaner can achieve. In fact you could buy one of these for your house cleaner to use. Unless of course they already own one & so there's no point you buying one.

      • supposedly

According to the company trying to sell the vacuum.

        • oh yeah, agreed. I would never spend my money on crap like this unless I really did have money to waste. I mean, it probably does suck better than the rest but who cares? my dyson stick sucks good enough for me.
          ,
…I was just pointing out the two options weren't really comparable. A house cleaner and a roomba, however, now that's a different story!

    • What vacuum does your cleaner use?

  • +2

Thanks OP, I'll order one as soon as I wake up from this weird dream.

      Zzzzzzzzzzzzz…….

    $2000 for something that sucks.

  • +1

Damn that vacuum is worth more than Godfrey's is these days….

    • Do you happen to know something we don't?

      • He probably knows a lot we don't……. And vice versa

    €799 + 35€ shipping from Germany here: https://www.staubsaugerladen.de/vorwerk-kobold-vk-150-eb-370
$1250AUD + import duty and GST.

If your German negotiating skills are good:
that includes 19% VAT (€127) so contact the shop and they should be able to drop the VAT for you (export sales not subject to GST). if you manage to do that, you're down to $1061 including shipping. Maybe you can get them to split the invoice for you and ship the EB370 component separately. you probably pay additional shipping but it gets you under the $1000 GST limit.

  • Curious to know how this actually performs. Is it really worth the price?

    • Pretty much like any other vacuum cleaner…

  • The jerk store called, they're running out of you!

    • They called you, right?

      Well, what can I say…

Read Vorwerk then realised they're the guys that make the Thermomix and now that insanely inflated price makes sense.

    • At least they're not flogging shamwow

    • At this price, the vacuum should have a thermomix attached. You can cook dinner while you clean. The ultimate multitasker.

  • +1

for that price this better come with a wifi

    • +2

Don't worry, at this price it'll probably come with a bonus 32GB Samsung EVO microSDHC card.

      With adapter.

  • From the makers of thermomix?.ouch

  • Can I get some fries with that?

  • +3

for $2k I can pay someone rip out the carpet and install floorboards. Lol

  • Definitely qualifies for free delivery…
