Whats the price for over 26s?

    • Most likely the same price on the Qantas website I would say. STA are pretty much on par with everyone else, except when it comes to Students & Under 26's

      • Damn, I hate being 27 then :(

$885 with Air New Zealand http://imgur.com/YnzxhE5

You can print out the internet quote and walk into one of Flightcentre stores for price-matching(or asking them to beat STA by a dollar). Those two companies are under the same management and would be happy to give you same deal anyway.

Was reading on SMH earlier this week. QF flies A380 to LA with app 60 people onboard. Seems like everyone on econ gets a "bed".

    • I like the cheap flights but if that keeps up they will start pulling flights.

    • +1

That was one flight due to unusual circumstances, flight delayed by half a day.

      One flight isn't everyone.

      • I came home in early April and there were multiple empty rows.
Co worker stumped up thousands to travel business and I get a empty-row-bed back in economy and slept most of the flight….

        • +3

Yes but your colleague would have got better service, better food and ultimately, a more comfortable bed.

        • @Cyphar: service is moot when you're sleeping

        • +1

Service doesn't start in the air for J pas….

That was also because the plane had to bring back a flight load full of Americans.. God I'd hate to be on that flight!

except when they're saving our asses from the Japanese?

  • Is under 26 inclusive of 26 year olds?

Or do I take it as it reads? Up to 25 and 364 days old?

    • +1

      26 years 364 days

      • There's 366 days this year…

      • Thanks.

What before you board the flight they will ask you to show your student ID? Since when there's been an age limit to be a student?

    • It's STA Travel's requirement, not the airline's.

  • What's the best period (weather wise) to travel to LA or NY?

    • +1

They'd both be fabulous at that time (although the attractions will be quite busy). Go to both!

    • +1

Do both, both great cities to go, dont recommend you spend any more then a week in either, get a car for LA, subway will get you around NYC, you'll need a car if you want to do NY state though. Start with LA as the timezones make it more palatable for you to have a normal day (albeit almost 1 day behind), NYC you'll find yourself awake at 3am for the first few days as you adjust.
