Stock up on fruit and fuel for your Anzac long weekend roadtrip :)

      • Too late to fill now, the price already went up the roof ;)

What no nuts like the Coles offer? :)

Haha, love the competition. But what's not clear to me is if you have to use the docket later or it has also be be used this weekend.

PS: Be careful if you use the Everyday Savings card to record your fuel docket if you already have some "dockets in it". The dockets are applied in a certain order, I think the greatest discount first, which might not be what you want if you have one that expires soon. If you want be sure, don't scan in your Everyday Savings card, and take a paper docket. They use that Everyday Savings card to track your purchasing habits anyway.

I'm sure it has the same 28-day expiry. Whenever I fill up, I bring along a 20L fuel container for the other car. Saves me the hassle of filling up more often and allows more discount per fill.

        Okey dokey, what I expected.

If you have another driver for the other car, you can fill that at the same time and apply the docket to the total bill. That's what my friend does. I would hate to read about an accident involving you and a jerry can of petrol in the newspapers. :)

        • But that would mean having to use some fuel to bring that second car to the gas station.

Yeah this is suck, I prefer paper docket!
Or some how you can check/edit the card online.

While it looks good on paper fruit and veges at Woolies or Coles are always 50% more in my area than the fruito. So Have to have a BIG car to make this pay. Paying $5 extra means at least 50 litres of fuel before I break even.

    • +1

What do you mean by "the fruito" ? and how much do you pay?

      • +2

local greengrocer - well actually they are pretty big. As for prices they fluctaute each week. But a few weeks ago bananas were 1.29 Kilo while Coles was $2.19 and woolies was $2.29

        • +1

Ah I see. Thought you were referring to the price of the fuel not the fruit :P

    • Quite true. I usually do my shopping at Aldi, and my neighbourhood "fruito" is competitive. Woolies and Coles were cunning not to allow other purchases in this offer, otherwise I would buy a sack of bread machine mix, and other things only they sell.

However for some people there may be no choice of shops so they might as well make the most of the offers.

    • Yeah, my local market sells onions, tomatoes, potatoes, bananas etc for as low as $1/kg. You'd never get that price at Woolies/Coles. Granted at the market you do have to be more careful when choosing them but I'd rather do that than pay triple the price at the supermarkets.
