  • +2

Did anybody else read Master Chef?

    • +7

No, but I do read Master Chef as Master Chief…

      • +1

me too, i do that all the time haha

  • hey can i ask a silly q?

does this collection have - are the games like the originals with their own lobbies and things like that or is it redone?

this'll sound silly but ive been hanging out to get halo 4 again just cos i adored the lobby dark ambient music, but i dont know if it's the same in this or if it's redone and presented and packaged in a different way, im keen to know? anyone who has both halo 4 and this can tell me?

All the games launch from a single menu, they don't go into their original menus. Download the OST if you dig it. I'm sure it'll be out there.

      • +1

Yes, ODST is available as DLC for AUD$6.65 through the XBox store, well worth the money IMHO.

        • +1

haha, OST - Original Sound Track, not Orbital Drop Shock Trooper:-)

        • @ratbag: Bloody acronyms! ;)

        • @ratbag: the thing is it actually isnt

i have downloaded the OST and it aint

there is no way i can find the dark ambient lobby music

ive even been onto youtube and seen every other song from the ost
          u can't get this one

          sad, i know

        • @Iggemo: the lobby music is just a certain part of the main theme looped

        • @StewBalls: *initialism

  • Nice deal OP.

Are these games remastered for XBOX One or are they still low res?

    • +1

Both. you can swap between the graphics

    • Halo 1 and 2 are remastered, but you can hit select to see the games how they were originally presented. The Halo 1 remaster I think is the 360 anniversary edition, and I don't think much or any reworking was done on Halo 3 or 4 which are close to what they were like on the 360.

    • +1

Halo 1: Was remastered for the Xbox 360 (the original game was for the original Xbox). No enhancement for the Xbox One except it's now 1080p/60fps.
Halo 2: Is the remastered version for Xbox One… it's gorgeous, and plays fantastically. It's also 1080p/60fps
Halo 3: This is the original Xbox 360 game. It's now 1080p/60fps.
Halo 4: This is the original Xbox 360 game. It's now 1080p/60fps.

Halo 1 and Halo 2 allow you to toggle the original graphics.

Halo 2 is absolutely breathtaking in the Master Chief Collection (Halo 2 had the best storyline too).

You can also download Halo 3 ODST as DLC.

      • Thanks for the detailed replies guys.

I have to say I enjoyed all the Halo games I've played on the 360.

Just got my XBOX One and got Halo 5 in the $34 Target deal. Have played a couple of hours (single player), have been kinda underwhelmed and a little disappointed :(

        • Halo 5 was too much of a set up game to be enjoyable, hopefully Halo 6 will be better

        • Have played a couple of hours (single player)…

So you'd be nearly finished the campaign then.

          have been kinda underwhelmed…

Yep, that's pretty much the overwhelming response most people have to the game.

          @Apple96:

Halo 5 was too much of a cocked up game to be enjoyable, hopefully Halo 6 will actually be Halo.

Fixed. Honestly, there wasn't so much setting up as there was simply removing everything that fans loved about Halo…the substandard campaign & lack of splitscreen co-op was a slap in the face to most users. 343 shot themselves in the foot big time with this title.

        • @StewBalls: I said what I said because it felt like the first act of a longer game. or in laymens terms, the first part of every two part movie series finale

  • Thanks OP!

By the way, the price is now down to $19.92 :-)

  • Bought via PayPal but still had to give them a mobile number in order to get the download code (which worked).
