  • Asks me aud 404. How Do I bring price to 388

    • +3

Amazon charges a high currency conversion fee. ~AU $388 is the approximate conversion if you pay in euros with a fee free card such as 28 degrees or Bankwest Zero Platinum.

I just want to say this SSD has really bad reliability, I bought 20 of them at work and 20 of the Samsung 850 pro none of the Samsung has failed in 12 months but 15 out of the 20 has failed for the SanDisk. locally this has 10years warranty. never the less still pain in the butt when it fails. we don't do any heavy data work just 50-100gb of data transfer daily.

Interesting. I always thought they were rock solid. Makes me glad I bought the 850's over this.

Were the failed ones all part of the same batch?

      • +1

initially yes, but even some of the replacements have failed which were a different batch.

        • Thanks mate. Very insightful.

That's only a bit worse compared to what they claimed actually. Sandisk claimed their Extreme Pro SSDs have an endurance of 80TB which is ~20GB a day for 10 years. Since you've been running them at 100GB a day, that would reduce it to 2 years. In comparison the Samsung SSDs have an endurance of 150TB.

I think it's still good drive for people who don't need to transfer that much.
