Thanks Monty. I've tried all of the free ones and most are rubbish with a few that can do some basic functionality. This is the first time I've seen a paid DLNA streaming app go free.

  • So what does this do?

    • +1

Plays local video and audio file or streams from DLNA devices.

  • can this stream to chromecast?

    • +1

      No it only receives streams.

    • nPlayer can . Just not all video formats. Use iPhone to bridge Nas and stream to chromecast

  • Thanks MM

No idea what it does but I downloaded it. Thanks op

  • Very good. Have tried a few of this kind of APPs but this one is lot quicker than the rest.
Most important thing is that it is FREE :-)

  • Looks like their MP3 player is also available for free..

Highly recommended. I've been using this to play DLNA streams from my Serviio box. It was the only one I tried that worked without any messing about.

    • I run a Serviio server too and struggled with most other apps. Glad to hear it's working for you - can't wait to get home and try it out!

  • I used to have 'Ace Player' but the developer kept killing the product, and then reincarnating it as a separate offering. It was good cos it had AC3 decoder but not anymore.

Thanks OP, this looks good. :D

  • Terrific app…. probably one of the best iOS streamers available.

MKV compatible as well. Buy it now and have it in your app library. You'll use it or a future version at some stage if at all interested in being able to watch your movie collections around the house on portable devices like iPads. You may not do it now, but trust me that's the way all things are headed in your household (if they havent already). Remember… apple devices have jack all storage and arent expandable. Streaming your library locally is the only way you can do it. Free versions and competitor ones are limited. This is a rare instance where $7 for an app is actually worth it, and for free is a real bargain.

  • Found that it can stream live tv from my Panasonic smart TV. Great app!
