Claiming GST Back at Airport

going to claim a camera + lens.

do I need to bring the box or can I just show them the camera and lens?

anyone know?

Hi I have claimed a few items including a camera and have never taken the box just the item it's self

I have also claimed tax back on a lens and was not asked for the box even though I had it with me.

  Did Custom ask if you are bring it back into Australia is then you may get charge double of the Tax you have claimed?

    Don't you have to pay tax on new items you bring into the country over $1000?

      Yes I think so ,you will not bring the items you claimed back?
      
      I think most people will just not declare it or pretend they are not "New" anymore.
