Its not free, it's an extended trial

"This is an unlimited-device 6-month license, for noncommercial use"

Free is very misleading. "Free for a limited time" would be more correct.

  • Does it actually work with Netflix? I have heard a lot of people getting locked out of OS Netflix even when using proxies or DNS routing. Mine still works (PIA).

  • expired on November for me

  • Thanks OP, signed up. Expired 27/10 though, not 180 days.

Edit: Just noticed you can go directly to smartdnsproxy website for the free trial. No need to go through signing up with sharewareonsale. Yes it works with netflix, just tried.

    • excellent, it gets my vote now.

    • From the website is just 14 days though?

      Can't see six months :/

  • You can skip the initial screen requesting you to share on fb etc by clicking I don't have any of these…directly through smartdnsproxy is the better way to go though

  • It looks like they log your actual IP address on sign up. Is this correct?

    • yes. when u change ur ip u have to "reactivate" it with ur new ip, i guess.

  • started my free trial directly with smartdnsproxy, only got 14 days trial. no where on the site allowed me to get 180 days trial. YMMV i guess…

    • in any case i went through sharewareonsale again with a different email and signed up again. definitely works that way instead.
