Headphone Users: Wired IEM/'phones for Gym, Please Give Me Some Suggestions

Having accidentally trashed my Sennheiser Momentum's using the "get up from a bus seat while standing on the cord" method I find myself needing some new IEMs for the gym (yes these were terrible headphones for the gym ;).

I want IEM's (or on-ear headphones, provided they're appropriate for exercise) that are wired (I play games at the gym and BT has a delay) however it would be handy to have Bluetooth as well if possible.

I like a lot of bass provided it doesn't completely annihilate everything else. I usually don't like "balanced" sound profiles as much.

$150 max. Thank you.

  • Why do you play games at they gym? Why not train harder and concentrate?

Jaybirds Bluebuds X are amazing, official earphones used by the USA Olympic team for training. Bluetooth though? Good deals on both the X and X2 going on now, check amazon.
As i believe the x3 are coming out soon.

    • Thanks for the recommendations although I'll treat the US Olympic team endorsement for what it is: completely clueless people being paid to use things.

I actually think I'm burning more energy playing games due mental processing but let's say I'm not for arguments sake but I train harder when I'm playing due to forgetting about pain.

  • If you have done so, Check out head-fi and the Headphone List. Because they have a detailed review thread dedicated to IEM (352+ tested to date).

    For wireless IEM Bluetooth try:
    MEE X7.

  • Sony MDR-XB90EX

For the $100 price point, I can guarantee. Utterly guarantee that you will not find better. Even if you go up to $200-300, you may not find better in terms of bass. In fact, I went to Japan and tried out probably ~100 or so earphones, up to $800, and none of them compared to the power. It's not just power, the bass is well controlled as well.

It is known to have one of the strongest bass of any earphone, but does not drown out the rest.

Recommended that 3 of my friends to go instore to try it. All 3 ended up buying it.
