You and Me on 07/05/2010 - 00:14 ¶Simple pieces are usually fine, but, some of them are astonishingly disposable — buttons fall off within a day, seams unseemly within a week. My rule of thumb for Cotton On is that if it looks at all complex or precarious, then it will fall apart very soon.
Of course, you can always return it — these days I just expect to alter it (think of it like those partially baked bread rolls.)

yeah only have nice stuffs to wear to the gym / at home.
their shirts have really weird fits, maybe because i got mine at homebush DFO.
lol @ the pics, was excited when i saw the leather jacket and the shoes but i don't think they have nothing to do with the brand cotton on =/
2stroksmokr on 07/05/2010 - 07:00 ¶Able to use same voucher? Just asking due to barcode on voucher.
2stroksmokr on 07/05/2010 - 11:33 ¶exactly I love them buy heaps and just swap them for the days at uni. Cheap and easy. As for washing my clothes never go bad
+1 voteI work at Factorie which is pretty much a sister store to cotton on (both owned by cotton on and the quality of the t-shirts really aren't that great. For the price you're paying though you should be able to get a few good wears out of them. As someone mentioned, very good for layering. The shirts and jackets are pretty decent quality though. Factorie sells leather jackets for $100 so I'm assuming Cotton On also has these.
You should be able to tell if the t-shirt is crap or not by feeling the material. The lighter it is, the faster it's going to lose its shape.
venismecha on 07/05/2010 - 13:26 ¶I love Cotton On singlets for the gym. They're a great fit, and because they're cheap, you don't mind getting them gross and sweaty, and the flimsy fabric actually works to your advantage in that regard.
The better quality singlet tops they do there are surprisingly cute cuts (I find them to be much more flattering than places like Supre).
So yeay, it's true that they're cheap, and not great quality, but I just buy replacements as needed. I still get good wear out of them.
I'm a fan!!
venismecha on 07/05/2010 - 13:38 ¶Oh yeah, and worth adding is that they do often stock their versions of the latest "fashion" items, that you know won't last very long… The kinda things that will probably only look cool for a month or two before you get over it.
So in that regard, i think it's much better to buy their stuff for a better price, despite the lower quality. I'm talking crap like harem pants (ok, I still think they're ugly), and those drapey tank tops (I know they're ugly, but I can't help thinking they'll look super cute with tight pants).
cloudstrife23 on 07/05/2010 - 13:45 ¶SRS is probably one tier below cotton on in terms of quality.
Their stuff is really cheap and nasty.
hkalanshiu on 07/05/2010 - 14:41 ¶i have tested this at lunch at the cotton on george street store (the one next to dick smith and QVB) and can confirm that it is working fine! the cashier also asked me why i am only buying one jacket as it applies to everything, which means can have multiple items for discount

As long as the items are from Cotton On Adults and Rubi (not Body or Kids) and not sale items. Also, if you want tanks that are usually 2 for $20 or $12.95 for one, to get them for like $6.50 each you'll just have to put the items through separate transactions, but staff should be more than okay with that.
