  • Nice specs, nice price

The trade off you have to make though: 4.4 KitKat.

This is also a fringe device that Lenovo isn't focusing development efforts on, so don't be surprised if it's stuck on KK forever.

In other news.. Intel has quit the smartphone market. So don't expect Intel Atom phones any more..

      • True, the only hope is for someone to post a custom ROM.

  • The specs on this look very similar to the Zenfone 2 (which I love). Any major differences that I should be aware of?

Intel CPU I think will be quite hard to get custom rom.

    • Why? is support for x86-64 platforms going away soon? haha

I don't think that site is genuine. The download links for every phone are the same.

        Yes you are right.

Is there malicious payload on that site? Avast prevents me from opening it.

I've seen some links on XDA to fake ROM sites that were dodgy, so I am very suspicious.

        • +1

There doesn't appear to be a payload, but the Javascript code is a bit suss.

        • @Clear: Code is quite interesting actually. One piece is stopping you from right clicking on the page while another is using php to stop you from highlighting text.

Then there are some Google Map scripts trying to get a location (I think?) and failing since there are no API keys.

          Meh broken site.

    • Always go to xda-developers forum otherwise they might be a fake website

lenovo bought the motorola phone division from Google (Google kept patents of course), so be interesting what Lenovo will bring to the phone market. Motorola were always good with android updates.

My friend has one of these. A pretty good phone with a great display but it hangs wayyy too much.

Still great for the price if you can deal with hangs.

    • +1

No phone at this price should be hanging, that's a little concerning. Decent specs though… I'd assume it's software issues?

  • Those specs and price! Wow

  • +1

lack of band 28 support the only issue for me, otherwise similar to my ZF2
