I like it, some don't, guess it depends what you are looking for (I'm no coffee expert). I drink the cafe au lait, good for people who want a quick coffee (press 1 button and done) at just above $0.50 a coffee. Some people like the cappuccino but it's too sweet for my liking and too expensive as it requires 2 pods for 1 drink so over $1 a coffee - not worth it. Not a black coffee drinker, but you'd get more selection from a Nespresso if you are looking for that.

Edit: I guess looking at machine reviews will also give you reviews about the coffee itself.

I bought one for my dad last year when it was on special at Coles. We returned it within 1 hour after getting home as it was horrible. Spent more and got a Nespresso which he is currently happy with.

My folks have one and hardly use it because the pods are exxy, never on sale, and there's no generics. They also bought a Beta VCR back in the early 80's

They still have the player? Lolll probably a collectors item now lol

        • It was a massive SONY C6 that had a state of the art wired remote :) The old man bought it on the strength of it's superior picture quality. He wasn't gloating when he discovered every video store had about 20 Beta tapes in the back corner, and the rest of the store was VHS.

i wouldnt touch this if you…
drink espresso (there are better value/taste ones out there)
cant stand UHT milk (if your not drinking espresso your probably drinking a ready made with milk variety)
dont take much sugar (overly sweet in manner cases)

nestle cornered themselves in as the product is so niche no generic would bother touching it
they are constantly shrinking in range/shelf space at colesworth only selling very few varieties

the hot chocolate is decent if you can manage with milk (some people cannot) but rather expensive compared to proper milk and chocolate powder sold seperately

i wouldnt bother with the ice tea range can just get the pre made stuff for cheaper instead

      • pods are exxy

        What?

        • Exxy = Expensive.

exy with 2 x's i assume means its very expensive hahaha .. :P exxxy with 3 x's has a whole diff meaning loll

Bulk buy from Officeworks for $7.50 each is the easiest.

I got them down to about $6.67 a box by getting 18 via Officeworks eBay (or 12 for $6.37 if you can find something for $10 to buy) and also buying a $100 eBay voucher via Groupon for $85.. Or Nescafe eBay store have 10 for $79.90 ($5 off = $7.99 each), which comes down to about $6.79 each with the eBay voucher as long as you can find something for $20 or so to reach the $100 mark (as you can only buy a max of 10). Otherwise keep an eye out for 15%/20% off eBay sitewide promos.

Coles have them 2 for $13 but very rarely nowadays, they did have 200 FlyBuys points per box you bought last specials period (works out to $7.49 as 200 FB points = $1).

You could probably do something similar with Woolworths with this deal, if you purchased $240 Woolworths credit for $200 via eBay voucher for $170 then that would work out to $6.61 a box even at Woolworths Online's inflated price of $9.34 each.

      • Or just buy a box of Nespresso compatible pods from the supermarket for $4 :)
