  • include all the items already on sale.

not if they get removed at 11:59pm ;)

    • I would doubt that as it specifically said including all the items already on sale.

  • +1

Let see tomorrow whether they may up the price.

  • -2

    Any good deals ?

  • +4

Can someone ask Jv if there are any bargains?

    • Will this work on items that you've already negotiated to a good price?

For example: Negotiated a tv from 5k to $4200, will they still give me the 10% store credit?

      • +1

Well! if you make a pay them tomorrow then you should.

        • +3

Just called the store, they said that the offer is only on ticketed sale prices. Not negotiated prices.

        • @riri14:
So you get 10% of the ticketed price?

        • @cameldownunder:

Yes, which works out worse for me.

          I've negotiated the Samsung KS8000 65" to $4,200.

        • @riri14:
I thought you pay the negotiated price, and get 10% gift-card on ticketed price.
Tell them to throw in some cables. $4'200 is huge money, I doubt they will let you walk out.
How much is the normal market price of the tv ( I suppose It's a Tv ).

I bought my 2in1 on an occasion like this. It was the only one available. Got a camera with it. Keen to do the deal.
Asked for a discount because it was a demo model. He said it's either discount or 10%.
The 2in1 was 1100. The sales guy ended up giving me a $150 giftcard.
Then the 2in1 went down to $900 within 1 week, but I noticed only after 10 days.
So I went back in and said, hey you lowered your price. it's $200 cheaper.
He said I got gift-card instead. Lower price was after 10% offer.
          I said that 1100 - 150 is 950. 900 would was better price.
So the next day got phone call: $50 reimbursed on my CC.
With the voucher I went to buy a new camera, for my father in law.
Camera was $500. Told the ( same ) sales rep, that George's Camera has it for $350. He did price match no problem.
Then I needed a bluetooth mouse. We went to the mouses, There was one for $60. He asked me how much I would pay.
I said $40. He misunderstood, and said: $30, yeah, can give it to you for that.

So I'll head to HN tomorrow, and see if I can get that Washing-Machine for my wife ( and a Gift Card for me :-) )

    • Gift card :(

      • +1

Flog them off with a discount to convert it back to cash?

    • So you can't negotiate a price and get the cash back?

  • iPads are probably excluded, I'd imagine.

    • I reckon all apple must have been excluded, just waiting for their online chat reps to have more information.

      • Can we buy Gift cards then?

  • Online only or in store as well?

    • Better be in store too, got a few Amex with the $350 spend $50 credit standing by.

      • they told me it is for online and in store

        • Sweet.

  • wish this could be stackable with Harvey Norman Amex credit (which is expired I believe)

    • +1

should be available until 5 July 2016.

      • cheers mate,you're right.

  • +1

I have blocked few items in Harvey Norman to be purchased on Thursday (by paying A$ 200). The total item is worth A$ 6400. I hope they give me 10% voucher for this as well.

    • +7

Best strategy for you would be buy $5,800 of your purchases, get a $580 gift card. Use that gift card to buy the rest of your purchase, so you're not left with a gift card.

  • checked with support, no sure are current sale items will be back to original price tomorrow, also support doesn't know is the sales item will be include to this promotion. :(

  • Is there a Cap on the amount of the 10% you get back (in dollar terms)?

  • I am going to buy a salon set which is $2200, can I use my 4 Amexs to get $200 + 10% gift card ($220)? I am not sure if I can spit the bill and still get the bonus gift cards.

    • yes you can split payments

    • +1

You would need to pay in full (via how ever many cards etc etc) first before receiving back the 10% in gift cards.

NOTE: Not representing etc etc, just my thought on how the process would be carried out.

  • Time to use HN gift card? I wonder if gift card can be used with this offer..

    • +1

Yes, I also have the same question. Use Amexs to buy gift cards, use the GCs to buy goods and get 10% gift card.

      • Oh, I didn't think about it.

  • +2

Oh man! I just spent $400 there yesterday!

    • +1

did you haggle them down? more than likely your haggling would've got you 10% if not more. Don't feel so bad… unless you didn't use the HN Amex offer - then you can feel bad. :)

      • Is this Amex offer still available?

        • if you haven't already applied for it, you've already missed out. still valid for those who applied a few weeks ago.

      • Yeah, I did haggle them down, and it was on special already, so I don't feel too bad!

  • Is this offer valid for Harvey Norman furniture shop as well ?

    • +1

I asked online, can only provide canned response for now until tomorrow:
Basically its for tomorrow only when you spend over $200 on qualifying item/s and you receive back 10% of your purchase price in harvey Norman gift cards. Full terms and conditions will be available as soon as the promotion starts. Common exclusions are things like AEG, Apple, Asko, Falcon, Speedqueen, Gaggenau, Miele and Neff Products, Services such as Product Care, extended warranties, delivery and installation and Harvey Norman gift cards.

      • Even I got the same standard reply.

  • +1

Ive been waiting to pick up the surface book which is now 15% off. Do you think that would be one of the exclusions?

  • spent over 2K on SP4 and accessories last friday :(

  • Let see what price they will have tomorrow for Surface Pro.

    • +7

      Agreed. Prices on 22/06/2016 with 15% off sale are;
      Surface pro 4, m3, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD = $1079
      Surface pro 4, i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD = $1181
      Surface pro 4, i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD = $1616
      Surface pro 4, i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD = $2011
      Surface pro 4, i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD = $2263
      Surface pro 4, i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD = $2763

      • Isn't there an SP4 1TB version out now?

Also how is the price after the 15% and this extra 10% effectively… Does it best the recent deals?

      • @Jabbairc, I don't see the SP4 1TB version on HN's website.
I got the Surface pro 5, i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD for $1181 for a friend today and received $120 HN voucher (I'm unsure why it wasn't an $118 voucher). He'll probably need a keyboard too, so the voucher is useful.
Looking back at the previous posts for this model on OzB, sale prices hovered around $1150 with Dicksmith being cheapest at $1119 in one Sydney store during their liquidation.
So in short, yes, imo this deal does best the recent deals.

        • Thanks S2!

    • They won't change because they are 15% off till 30th June, they might be excluded from the sale though

      • They are included :). Will get one.

  • are apple products excluded?

  • My friend purchased a Bosch dishwasher at HN $749 (with a bonus of free delivery & installation from Bosch)in Mar 16. Then the price increased to $799 (without installation) with a bonus of HN gift card $70. Nowadays, the price of the dishwasher on catalogue is $799. Thus, even with the 10% of gift card- still not as good as the purchase in Mar. The company always increase the price and give you their gift card so you have to make another purchase.

  • +1

I'm assuming that you won't get the gift card if you bought an item using their 50 months interest free???

  • Hi…. Can anyone confirm that we will get back gift card for the negotiated price as well….. I paid a deposit for couple of things and negotiated a total price of $4300…. If I go back and pay the balance will I get gift card????

  • So in essence it's a 10% off sale on ticketed items, but you're forced to spend your 10% saving instore? What am I missing? Why is this such a good deal?

    • It's good for people who already intend to buy something at Harvey Norman. It's a 10% bonus gift card without having to ask.

      • I think you'd be able to get 10% off most items by asking them for a better price, that's a better option than this

  • Probably worth requesting it as part of your negotiation.

Got a slight price drop on ticketed price (~$3400 final price) and they've agreed to honour the 10% voucher too

    • Have you already done this today?

  • Anyone have any idea whether it's restricted to one purchase? Ie if I buy a TV at one franchise, and a computer at another, will I receive it twice?

    • Surely youd get it off every purchase over $200 from the same store. Shouldnt need to go to different stores.

      • +1

Only reason I say different stores is because the items I want are in different stores. Cheers

        • I guess you can use the fist gift card to buy the second item.

    • +1

Confirmed with online chat that it applies to multiple purchases.

  • Hi guys, I just got confirmation that apple products are excluded. Bummer!

  • Spent 1800 over the weekend. Bummer!

  • Thanks for the update on Apple, was thinking I would do that. I am looking for an Ipad Mini2 - cellular/32gb.
The Good Guys are offering them for $568 online up to July 4 …. seeing HN are not dealing on Apple, any suggestions as to where to purchase Australian Ipad mini's at a good price?.

  • Will HN price match to UMart or Computer Alliance ?

After a Logitech G920 wheel on my AMEX. Another $35 off ($350-$50) if they match will make it even sweeter. :)

    • They should.

I managed to price match an interstate store for a Sonos playbar coz of free shipping offered.

      • Sadly no joy. The $349 from Computer Alliance is "below our cost" so they wouldn't match it.

Interestingly it's on the HN website at $398, but still marked $499 in-store.

        • Update. Went back later and spoke to another drone who was OK matching the Computer Alliance price.

So got a G920 wheel for $(350-50), plus $35 in gift cards.

Good thing they last 2 years. It'll probably take me that long to find anything worth buying at HN again. :)

  • Probably wishful thinking… But if I buy the LG 75" tv for 5995, get 599 worth of vouchers can I then use Harvey Normans price match guarantee to match JB HiFi's price because they just dropped it to 5098 this morning and get 900 back?

Also does 50 months interest free apply to this deal?

  • +1

HN didn't want to price match TGG price, They said with the 10% on gift card it is the same price.

  • What is HN price match policy? I seem to remember at one stage they offer like 110% price guarantee on the difference?

  • Just rang - YES you can use 50mths interest free and get the 10% cards!!!
    Trip to HN coming up

    • What about price matching a retailer then get the 10% cards?

  • +1

Is card instantly given when purchased online? How about instore?
Contemplating Surface Book $2494 (i5, 8GB ram, 256gb, dGpu) versus Lenovo Thinkpad 460 Yoga ($1600, 16GB ram, i7)… kinda scared off by the apparently horrible Lenovo support/service :(

    • click and collect- proceed to cashier- claim gift card

  • Guys be careful if you are planning to get a product that is clearance or on sale.

I just bought a washing machine that was on clearance at $499 this morning and when I got to the store they changed it to $599.

They gave be a small discount but still not as good as it was with the 10% GC.

so all up it cost me $550 + $59 delivery for a LG 7kg front loader.

    Was it a good deal?

    • have they increased the price on their website too ?

      • yes, and that is the problem.

I should of screenshot it before i go =[

  • Thanks OP. Pulled the trigger on a Denon x1200 :)

  • Doesn't apply on negotiated prices. Boo.

  • Does this offer mean that I will get the bonus $150 gift card plus 10% worth of gift cards on top?

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/computers-tablets/computers/l…

    • Yes

  • Samsung GS5 $448-10% as store credit (however she made the gift card for $45) =$403. Not as good as the recent TGG deal by a mere few dollars which i missed out on. As I'm flying OS within the next month the TRS will kick in $40.73 hence overall price $362.30 not too bad.
Re: the Q raised by lainey13- click and collect- go to cashier and receive the gift card.

  • did this deal expire at 9pm or if I purchase online click and collect before midnight will I still get the 10% gift card?

    • Expired at 9:00pm

      • where does it state as 9:00 PM ?
