Also $13.50 for 18 at Bunnings so pretty similar price per hook when you account for postage.

Just a warning, that these "Damage free" hooks will lift paint off a wall if left on for long periods of time.

Ok for up to a few months, but beyond that you risk pulling paint off.

    • which one do you recommend then ? as I don't see any major competitors against 3M

      • I don't recommend any of them for the long term.

My wife is a property manager and these types "damage free" hooks are constantly causing patches of paint to be pulled off the walls when tenants move even after only a year.

If you must use them, just try to remember to reposition them a few centimeters 3-4 times a year so they do not bond with the paint.

        • I've never had any issues with the 3m hooks of any size. Had them up on walls for 12-24months at two previous residences. The trick is how you remove them (pulling the tabs downward, as close to the wall as possible). They will take off paint if you try and pull them off the wall.

        • @n1ck:

Agreed - I had literally dozens of them on my walls for 3 years and moved recently. I didn't have a single instance of paint coming off after removing them as instructed.

The only time I lost paint was when I overloaded some hooks (much larger than the ones here) and a home-made coat rack fell off the wall.
