Thanks, and for the link to cameramemoryspeed site too. Seems my Sony NEX won't really benefit from the extra write speed anyway, so saved a few bucks and went with the Sandisk Extreme (90/40MB/s) for $36.76

    • So, bit pissed at myself for not looking properly before but…

I used eBays search of the officially participating stores when I purchased the above card, it being the cheapest from the included sellers..

As we know, PC Byte has another store PC Byte Storage, which prices a bunch of the same stuff as their other store but cheaper, however appears isn't included in this sale.

Turns out, the code works on the other store as well, meaning the Extreme Pro 64GB can actually be had for $43.96, and the Extreme 64GB for $31.96. (I only went as far as applying the code in cart, but it showed the discount was applied)

  • This is awesome if you are shooting fast bursts of photos, or raw video on something like the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera. V cheap for these.

  • Bought this for $45. Works well recording 4K videos.

  • Is PC Byte still francesca's garage operation?

  • Got this on Tuesday & ran some tests RAW + JPG tests on on a Nikon D5300.
Comparing to a 64GB Extreme, I was expecting to see the buffer write faster and take more burst shots before it got slow & laggy.
But it wasn't the case. They both take about 7-8 shots burst then the rate slows down.
Probably a limitation of the camera, so I guess the only advantage (for me) with this card is the dumping speed.

Found this video of similar test.
