There are quite a few cheaper on Ebay like - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEXBOX-A95X-TV-Box-Amlogic-S905-A…

Also I would be looking at getting one of the newer S905X models or waiting a month for the new S912

You guys aren't exactly fair. ALL the links in the previous posts are from seller based in China, HK or similar. He is offering it shipped locally.

    • Sorry my links are all from Australia.

      • Your first link feedback

Very slow postage as not from Melbourne Australia came from overseas. Not happy
Item listed as despatched from UK - came from China :( Not as advertised

        Your second link feedback

Not sent from the UK as listing states.
NOT SENT FROM UK AS ADVERTISED, TOOK 4 WEEKS INSTEAD OF 3 DAYS.FALSE ADVERTISING
CHINA NOT UK! 26DAYS DELIVERY & SENT USED/BROKEN ITEM, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

      • +2

That's where eBay gets misleading as the item location is listed as Australia but the stores themselves are in China according to their profile.

Happens a lot, always read the feedback. I got a phone last month listed as Aussie seller, local stock, local warranty. Came from China. To their credit though arrived in 5 days. Quick re-flash to remove the bloatware and im good, saved $100.

Regardless this is ozbargin, lowest price comes first!

Not when the delivery time is 4 weeks longer and only $5 more expensive

Ask for refund if it is not Au stock as it should passed the est time and you could start case, may be you can get it for free too.

          @LoveBargain15:

Sorry but that's not how I want items. What I can't afford I don't buy but I never buy hoping seller will be late and I get it for free

      • Not if you want it sooner.

Money isn't everything when it comes to determining what's a bargain.

    This or a raspberry pi?

    • +1

    • rPi 2/3 if you're not looking for h265 or HDMI 2.0/4K - Much more versatile and likely to get more support in the future.

You will need to buy a Case, PSU, remote + IR receiver or use a smartphone app to control it though.

      • Got a 4k tv but our internet only lets us play 1080p content. So raspberry pi is the best option then I guess.

    • If it's only for AV needs, these boxes are ready to go so to speak. A Pi is only advised if you're competent with technology and have patience. Not that it's hard, but it's certainly not plug and play like the Android Box. Hope that helps a tad haha

Related to your question: What other Kodi boxes are recommended?

    • I like both, but if you want Netflix, there is no really good rPi solution.

    • Definitiely one of these S905 chip based boxes, they can play h.265 which a Pi cant.

There is also OpenELEC which replaces the standard firmware so no worries about future support.

  • Can this be used to watch live hk TV?

  • Good price for local stock. Keep in mind this has 1GB ram. 2GB RAM would probably see far better performance.

    • Agreed. 2GB RAM works a lot better. Closing unused apps and clearing the cache helps a lot with boxes that only have 1G ram.

  • Is it TX is better also with Kodi.
