Nice site but doesn't accept "ozbargin" discount coupon.

    • Seems to be a typo, the code "ozbargain" works

    • Vote revoked as the code has now been fixed.

  • Might need to edit the bargain code, mate.

    • apologies for the mix up. code is edited and working now. both codes will work. again apologies.

As someone who wears prescribed/custom orthotics, I wander how these compare? Even as a secondary pair perhaps.

The aim of pre fabricated orthotics (like our products) is to support the foot and control excess pronation (rolling in). This is the same function as your custom made orthotics. Your custom orthotics will most likely be more aggressive in their control as they are tailored to match you foot specifically. When a custom device is used it is possible to increase the control given by the orthotic. The problem some people have with custom orthotics is that they are hard and can be uncomfortable.

The most supportive orthotic that we sell is the ultra soft: http://docpods.com/_product_18731/Ultra_Soft_Orthotics

This orthotic is supportive enough to relieve foot and leg pains and yet soft enough to be comfortable. The ultra soft is our most popular product.

      I hope this helps.

      • Thank you very much for your informative reply. I only have one pair, and from my original diagnosis from a GP (and thus referred to a podiatrist) to getting my orthotics, cost me around $800 (I got half back through private health insurance) this seems like a fairly decent offer for anyone wanting to give it a go.

Specifically I was having knee pain issues, and most of that has been resolved since having orthotics. So I think at this price I'll give it a shot! Cheers for posting this

  • Just wondering when it expires?

edit: sorry i needed to read a few lines down, 31/07/2010.

  • I dont get the sizing. If I click the size guide http://www.docpods.com.au/size-guide.html
the pop-up tells me the Docpods Ultra Size Guide for a Large (Men and Women) is 8.5 - 9.5

BUT, If I select the drop down for the ultra soft, it shows Large as M 9.5-10.5 - WTF????

      thanks for message.

the drop down size is for the Mens US sizing - this is close to the Austranian sizing.

the sizing that you are referring to is the UK sizing (for men and women)from the pop up. in the pop up window look below the UK sizing (for men and women) and you will see the US mens sizing and below that you will see the us womens sizing.

generally if you select your size (eg small, medium, large ect) from the chart and then select this size from the drop down you will not have any problems.

please let me know if there is anything else.

      thanks.

  • how do these compare with like superfeet?

    • Hello,
Generally orthoitcs work in a similar way - they support the foot so it does not become over worked tired and painful. So in that respect they will be similar.

I am not familiar with the super feet orthotics specifically. On the link below you will be able to see a product video and compare the difference between the orthotics

      http://docpods.com/_product_18731/Ultra_Soft_Orthotics

The ultra soft orthotic is our most supportive orthotic. This is also our most popular orthotic.

      I hope this helps.

      thanks.
