This has been $30 before, but I'm not sure about stock levels right now considering it is in store purchase only, so there may not be enough stock left for a further sale.

      I am trying to think when I would need a 3.8cm ruler…

for the not so well endowed to feel like they are endowed

      You will never understand.

I would hold off. These have been down to $30 before and with the upcoming fire sale the current discount should be standard.

Unless you need one now of course.

    • True Good advice, but I'm not sure how much stock they would have for a further sale considering it is only in store purchase right now. I'll update that in the description thanks!

      • i picked mine up today at richlands and they only had 4 in total so it may be short on stock

    • There is a Masters in Hobart area *Redacted

  • Does anyone use these type of tools regularly? My old pocket knife was cool gift when I received it as a teenage birthday present. However, it has spent most of it's 20 year life in the back of a sock draw

Tbh it really depends on your needs, I have my Victorinox SAK which I regularly use but not all of the attachments, I am yet to find use for the reamer and cork screw… Yeah so you most likely won't be using every feature but it's good to have it just in case :)

I carry a Leatherman (not this model- I have the Supertool 300) pretty much every day of the week. Pretty much gets used every day (work = technician, weekend = DIYer).

I feel they are a compromise of proper tools. Most likely you already have a tool bag if your needing this for work. This is something to put in a bag etc, just in case. But if you know you need a screw driver or knife, you'd pack one. Otherwise im sure theya re cool gifts. I think the Juice2 was very popular when i looked into these previously. I bought a victorinox when i was in europe, but meh, gimme a real knife etc.

    • Thanks for the responses all

I carry a Leatherman Skeletool CX everywhere, and use it at least a couple of times a day. I have a Leatherman Charge TTI that I take with me instead when I know I'm going to be using it a lot. I have a Leatherman Tread multi tool which I use nowhere and never, because it was a stupid impulse buy that is completely useless :)

I need that kind of portability and instant access many times at work. It always feels better to use proper tools though.

I have a gerber on my hip all the time at work, I work in maintenance. It gets used every day. Mine has scissors on it and would not get a multitool without scissors. But yes they are very useful for getting out of trouble when you do not have you proper tools.

  • Isn't everything at Masters instore only now?

    • Yes. They ceased online trade/click and collect when they were sold.

  • Is there any indication when stock is going to be discounted?

Coming up as $87 for me in Perth

  • I saw these at their Bayswater store (they had loads) this morning

I already have a few Leatherman tools otherwise I would have bought one

Surprisingly, it doesn't come with a carrying pouch but these can be bought cheaply on Amazon or EBay

  • Masters Ropes Crossing had about 10 left, all pricing through out the store is a bit of a shambles.

Just purchased from masters in Adelaide. Came with a free tape measure worth $15. They said it was part of a new promo about to start where a $25+ spend earns you one per sale.

    • Nice, I'll update that in the description once it's official thanks :)

Pretty sure I paid $28 for this late last year (at masters)

+1 for warranty from this manufacturer / importer-agent. My skeletool's pliar head snapped off after about 4-5 years of use, 1 quick email with a photo to which they replied and confirmed the item would be replaced, I sent it in (no receipt) - they mailed me a replacement out. I was actually quite surprised at how easy it was.

    • I hear good stories about Leatherman too.

  • Thanks OP. Got one from Chullora, roughly about 10 pcs left there.
