    Thanks! Was there for me.

    Bought a backpack.

Wow has an OzBargainer spent that much money before?

      • +1

Camping/hiking stuff worth spending a little more on IMO. It's pretty well reviewed as an ultralight pack.

  • +1

Got it on my one of 4 buying accounts

  • scored 2 used Toshiba 256Gb SSD drives for $80 with coupon.excellent. thanks OP.

    • thanks OP

      Huh? I'm confused

Anyway, I got it on my account too. Thanks OP :)

      • +3

I think altomic is acknowledging the OP for pointing out the deal. I'd do the same thing.

        • I think altomic is right

        • +1

@PBG: hhhmmm, most of the time I reckon he is full of it.

        • @altomic: You're being to hard on him. He's one of my favourite OzBargainers

        • @PBG: lol, I like how every one assumes altomic is a he. Altomic has never said whether they are a he or she.

        • +4

@altomic: > Altomic has never said whether they are a he or she.

@altomic: > I reckon he is full of it

I read that as Altomic calling themself a he

        • +2

@roughana: I think the second one is a fake account. the "L" is actually an upper case "i"

        • Good try, but OzBargain authorship of comments shows all Altomic comments above have been posted by the same user.

        • +2

          @roughana: lol, not always :)

        • @aItomic: see

        • @altomic: Damn, and I thought I was confused at the start of this thread!

  • looks like I've got it too… yay!

  • I still cant get the app to the checkout stage

  • Woot i have it too. No idea how given I just spent like $500 in the most recent sale.

    • +1

Do you use their app to buy stuff?

If not, that's probably the reason you got it (same as me) ;)

      • Oh yes that's a plausible reason

  • Just got the email with this offer :)

  • I'm a heavy user of eBay yet I still got the offer.

I've never used the app to buy anything so that's probably why eBay applied the offer to my account.

  • can someone explain how to check please

    • +2
      1. Login to your eBay account on a computer
      2. Check "My Messages" under "My eBay"
      • thanks, thought it was more difficult haha

    • +1

I received mine as a message from Ebay. Check your Ebay inbox, for a message from ebay.

  • +1

I haven't received any of these targetted deals. I use eBay all the time. Maybe I should just stop.

    • Do you buy through their app?

If so, that's why you probably didn't get the offer.

Basically, eBay are trying to encourage regular users of the site to switch to buying through the app instead of on the computer.

      • I search through and maybe purchased through it once or twice out of hundreds of buys.

  • Thanks OP

  • Im looking to buy the mi band 2 but the seller had the price at $49.88+$4 Postage. GARRRRHH guess i will be missing out again.

    • +1

Ask them to adjust the invoice to $50.

    • You can also combine items, so just find something for $1 somewhere and add it to the transaction.

  • Thanks op
    Ive been targeted :)

  • Sweet, got one too!

  • Do ay OzB's do a search before they post? I've got at least 4 emails about this.

  • Got the offer, thanks!

    What to buy though? Hmmmmmm

  • nothing for me :(

  • +2

Ugh, the IOS app STILL doesn't support Paypal "Security Key", just refers me to pay on desktop, but of course the coupon code doesn't work on desktop, as it's app only.

  • +2

Same situation on Android with security key. FUUUUUUU eBay (and PayPal), had to temporarily drop 2FA in PayPal to make payment in the app, as I could not log in to my Paypal account during checkout via the eBay app otherwise.

    • +1

Just so I understand: in order to use this eBay voucher, one needs to have BOTH the eBay app and PayPal app installed on the phone?

Last time I checked, the PayPal app on Android sucked sooooooooo bad!

      • +2

Although I have both apps on my phone, it did the PayPal transaction within the eBay app.

    • How do you get the eBay app to work? Using a Sony Xperia E4g I can't read item descriptions, or if I chose buy it now it just freezes on paypal login screen.

Has been like this since last 2 downdates

*edit- after reading this I checked if there is a new update, and there is..and it now actually works! But I don't have a appy20 code.. Booo

      • You can still enter the code manually.

        • Yeah, it doesnt work though.

  • Yes I got it too, not sure why this account. I just spend $700 last week.

  • +3

    Nothing! wtf :(

  • Just used app with this code and worked flawless

  • is there any way to use the ebay app and get the Cashrewards cashback?

    • The Cashrewards T&Cs for eBay rebate indicated that it would probably not be applicable even if it was possible:

Payment using any type of voucher or eBay credit may result in your purchase being ineligible to earn rewards.

Having said that, I am about to buy multiple things from one seller that I will 'Request Total From Seller' using the web side.
After the final price is returned I will pay with the App to use the code.
It will be interesting to see what happens with both. Can't tell yet if it will work.

      • Stymied by Seller not actually allowing requests for combined postage. Back to email negotiation.

  • got one too

  • Didnt work here

  • Picked up the Terms & Conditions from my google alerts today.

  • Found the deal but from a message on my ebay inbox.

  • I have found three things from the same seller that I want to purchase. Combined shipping is not being calculated as well as the seller implies in their listing, so I have written to the seller to ask if a better deal was available. It is, but I need to 'Ask Seller for Price'. This does not appear to be available in the iOS App.
If I 'Ask Seller for Price' on the web side, apparently I am committing to buy at that point.
My question is, will the purchase via App be applicable if I come back to the App to make final payment?

    • as long as you pay for it using the app. it's where you would be entering the code.

  • I've just seen this deal advertised on eBay banner when I was not logged in - after I had logged out. ie It is not targetted.

    • The problem is the code won't work unless you have received the message.

  • Thanks got one in one of my accounts.

  • i got it in my account, not buying much recently

  • Damn… if only I got it too…

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OSTRY-KC06A-HIFI-High-Fidelity-Qu…

Ostry KC06A for ~$70 AUD seems like a good deal to me.

Great code, handy Dans is on eBay. Picked up some quality Father's Day presents :)

  • Can this be used if buying from multiple sellers? Ebay help says it allows multiple sellers if All sellers allow multiple seller payments but not sure how I tell the do?

    • Add items to the cart and then checkout.

  • thanks.
    received one as well

  • thanks, received as well… regular user, have bought on the app before

  • How can you check out with cash rewards and use this deal?

    • -1

      You can't

  • Can anyone recommend a cheap tablet to buy <$60?

  • Can any one recommend a good air fryer to buy please. Also is it really good?

  • -3

I got this today and picked up a couple of bottles from Dan Murphys.
Only got 2 to get the discount. Thinking I might see If I can return the second.

  • I'm gonna pick up a dyson battery for the vacuum.

Why this post isn't in the front page of OzBargain? Bought a mechanical keyboard at price ~$50 and with the discount code, it cost only $30. Great value at 40% discount.

    • Because it's targeted and not everyone got it unfortunately.

  • Can this code be applied to an item where you have made a best offer (and the seller has accepted)?

    • +1

      Yes

  • "spend more than $50 in one transaction"

does that mean 1/more items from 1 seller only ?

Or somehow I can add a few things from different sellers and checkout all at once ?

    • +2

1 transaction up to 10 items. Could be different seller

      • outstanding - will get it a try - thanks!

    • Add the items you want into the cart and then checkout.

    • thanks guys - I added to cart on PC, checkout out in app and it worked fine - each of the 3 items shows a proportional discount.

Really struggled logging into paypal in the app - had to disable 2FA to log in

  • It won't let me checkout the two items in the cart, it's saying it must be in done in separate payment transactions.

    • +1

Are the items in different currency?

You can only do a single transaction with the same currency.

      • Yes you're right. I'll pick another item in AUD then.

  • Can an Auction item be combined with a Buy it now one to count as 1 transaction?

  • +1

Wow, I literally managed to make use of this at the last minute, had to install the app, deactive 2FA on paypal because it didn't want to play with eBay… all that for $20 saved, at the last minute! Woot!

  • Rip life, just realised it expires today

  • +2

Targeted offer I didn't get the deal and the reason why is here and I hope this helps other who never got it like me.

Sometimes, eBay gives vouchers to members. Vouchers can only be used if the seller accepts PayPal, and member eligibility can vary.

Vouchers appear in your eBay account and are sent to your registered eBay email address. A quick way to check whether you have an available voucher is to hover over My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. If you have a voucher, it'll be shown at the bottom of the list that appears. You can also see the details of vouchers on the Activity tab in My eBay.

To ensure you'll be considered for vouchers:

Sign into My eBay and select the Account tab.
Select the Communication Preferences link and scroll down to Promotions and Surveys.
Select Show and then General email promotions.
    Select Save.

    • Vouchers are hard to find in the app though. Last time I looked for one I couldn't find it. Ended up contacting ebay and they pointed me to the web browser version where I could see the voucher easily.
