Toys R Us and Big W stores in Australia will soon be distributing special Jirachi’s to Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver games via Mystery Gift. This Jirachi (which was distributed three months ago in the US at Gamestop stores) will also unlock a new “Night Sky’s Edge” PokeWalker Course in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Deal starts 3rd June. That's tomorrow, so gear up your DS and pokemon game to your nearest store.

Jirachi is at Level 5, holding a Liechi Berry and is obviously inside a Cherish Ball. The Jirachi knows the attacks Wish, Confusion, Rest and the special move Draco Meteor.

    I remember i went out with my Gameboy pocket back in the day to get mew….The legendary 151 pokemon ;) He he i got every pokemon on my blue game. Though i used that "missingno" glitch.

        It's actually the third generation equivalent of Mew (we're up to the 4th gen). I guess they're giving it away for those of us who missed it the first time around.

    Went to toys r us this morning and did this. Worked great. Just walked in and did. There was no terminal set up or anything.

      Yeah, I ran the last one of these at Kmart last time, really simple. The set-up is basically a DS with this special game cartridge inside it, just constantly sending out the wireless to anyone within range. So as long as you are within wireless range of wherever they're leaving the DS, it should work. As long as they've actually activated it when they turn the DS on at the start of the day.

      They also stressed the importance of having the date/time set correctly on the DS broadcasting, so I suspect the cartridge may be set to only work within a certain timeframe - so if it doesn't work at the store you go to, try asking if they mind making sure the date is correct.

    fantasic freebie, especially if your a pokemon fan like me. i spend 20 mins sitting outside toys r us downloading jirachi on 8 pokemon games. this is the first time ive been able to get to an event, the only other ones i heard about were in america
