They used to occasionally mail out small sets to members (like at xmas) but none for the last few years. These days it is pretty much just a catalog with the occasional poster or sticker.

    • Yeah, I miss those mini-builds too.

I've been a member for 9 years and been receiving their magazines ever since. It's probably the best $14.95 I've ever spent.

    • I always thought when we were getting the mini builds that one day someone's going to abuse this and ruin it for everyone. My daughter still loves the magazine and the little comic everytime and all kids love getting something in the mail from time to time.

    • Yeah it's become quite disappointing. Aside from the competitions and the catalogue, there's nothing much else to it. The posters become annoying after a while and I haven't seen a sticker in ages! :\

  • Is there a direct link to sign up

lego used to be cool before the whole invent of lego movies and all.

Lego hasn't changed, they've just introduced themselves to a new generation of kids.

Lego has totally reinvented themselves and arguably the most successful of the toys reinvention since the digital age. Look at the decline of all the other toys and Lego is still staying strong no matter how stuck to the tablet / computer / phone the kids can be. The box office for The Lego Movie also disagrees with the last part of your statement too.

No wonder I stopped receiving my magazines. I was wondering what was up. Looks like I'm overaged now.

    • Who is going to stop you when you claim you are 5 - 10 years old (at heart)?

Both my kids enjoy the physical magazines so maybe I will resubscribe under their names.

    • I'm over-aged too and I still get the magazines. You have to fill in the subscription renewal card they mail you at the end of every year in order to keep it going.

      • I had that problem but they never sent me the renewal card, I had to ring them to sort it out.

    • I do miss the physical magazines, and now that I have 2 young'ens I can subscribe on their behalf. The seasonal bonus sets are pleasant surprises!

  • Says aged 5 - 9 now.

  • Hmm.. I'd argue that this really isnt a deal - since I think most people still enjoys the physical catalogue and magazines (I know I have since I was a kid). It will be quite sad to see it go in favour of digital but free.

signed up my 5 year old and couldnt see anywhere where it asked for an address to send a magazine?

    • i can't find that either

    • its a bit confusing but i signed up for a new lego id with childs date of birth. then the 'parent' gets a link emailed. finally you get the option to subscribe to lego club and postal details are asked for.

      • this was useful. except I just signed up my 4 year old (magazine only 5-9).
Searching how to add another child (I have three boys 4 - 7).

EDIT: Confirm, just repeat the process with the same parent email address and the option to add the quarterly appears

      • I didn't get asked for postal details after getting the email with the link.

        • yeah i'm still none the wiser .. i got an email to confirm their accounts but that was it .. could you post a link to where you added your addy pls

        • @droodle: I also can't see how to set a postal address and sign up for the magazine. Only if I click Parents link it shows Magazine subscription as a UK option but not for Aus…

Edit: actually you need to click Magazines (top link), then Sign up for Lego ID (after you are already logged in), then go to your "profile" then go back to magazines and click get free magazine, then subscribe, then it will email you a link saying Complete Sign Up then click that and fill out the address.

        • try lego.com/club - then sign in. This will give you the option to subscribe to the magazine.

        • @dammit: where do you go to find the magazine configuration? When I go to my profile, it only shows me the Username, Date of birth, Gender, email, country and password?

EDIT: nevermind….had to go to a specific link: http://www.lego.com/en-us/club/member#!bp=profile!

  • Thanks, OP. My six-year-old now has many years of Lego magazine goodness to look forward to!

  • You will received another email to subscribe and able to add the address.

    • Thanks, did the loop a few times in signing in I hope for another email for mailing address. If all else fail start again tomorrow

  • Thanks for this. Signed both my kids up, and my 5-year-old self.
