Banggood Xiaomi Powerbank Warranty Issue

So I purchased the Original XIAOMI 5.1V 2.1A 10000mAh Power Bank from Banggood on October 8th, 2015.

Recently, the powerbank suddenly stopped receiving a charge and is now flat, and i've tried all the workarounds online i could find to no avail.

Anyway, I decided to contact Banggood customer service to request a repair or replacement option and this was their reply:

to me
Dear Mark,
Thanks for your email.
Order 9172460 has been passed 11 months.
We are not able to help you now.
It's far beyond warranty.
Yours faithfully,
Jessy

So - this is just a warning to all those thinking of purchasing via Banggood -I've no idea what their warranty period is for these powerbanks, but it certainly isn't 1yr, even though that is what they said last year - http://forum.banggood.com/forum-topic-93332.html

  • Technically you still should be able to claim warranty on this. Have a read

    • +1

Tell me how you're gonna go doing a return post on a power bank now though, considering BG don't send them here now…

      • Really? I thought it was only Everbuying and Geekbuying who stopped sending them… must have changed?

        • My bad they're the only ones!

        • @Spackbace: Still it will probably end up costing OP more to ship it to HK and back than what they purchased the Power Bank for… Better off just getting new one I guess?

        • @stuhtb:

I'd say so. Would be risky trying to send it

  • Standard no Chinese sellers offer a year warranty maybe 3 months max.

  • Yeah I wouldn't have expected a HK seller to do anything after 11 months. Comes with the purchase price really

    • They're actually Chinese ;)
