Hi guys, my first post… was looking for a Redmi Note 3 and saw this deal, not as good as some past deals but decent so thought I'd share.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 4G Smartphone use MTK Helio X10 octa core CPU, 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM with 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 screen, MIUI 7 OS, promises quite a fast operation speed is quite amazing and impressive. 5.0MP front camera for convenient self-capturing, 13MP back camera; 4G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc;

from the site - "Please be reminded that this is a Chinese version mobile, which comes with pre-installed Chinese apps. Act of rooting the mobile to delete the apps/ flash 3rd party roms will void the warranty provided by eGlobaL. If you have any concerns or enquiries, please feel free to contact our customer service team for further support."

Also note that although this is a grey import it DOES have a 24 month warranty for non rooted (lol) phones. Unless you're chinese and don't want the google play(not included) you'd be wanting to hack it to a world rom however.

:)

The actual price is $165 but delivery is $25 or insured delivery is $30. Pity otherwise it'd be crazy cheap. No option to pick up.

Lastly if you like their facebook page or follow on twitter you get an $8 coupon.

They also have tons of clearance items (60%).

you would be silly to get a note 3 that's not the SD650

    • +1

What's the difference between the versions?

  • +3

Did you actually buy this rather than the S650 version with B28 supported?

    Is it really crazy cheap?

    • -1

I said it would be crazy cheap if you didn't have to pay $25-$30 delivery so yes, $165-8 = $157 would be crazy cheap to me. Don't require B28.

      • +2

No it is not. Because there is NO WAY to get rid of the delivery cost.

        • -2

I know I didnt say it was crazy cheap I said

          "OTHERWISE" it would be,

Do you know what otherwise means?

        • +2

          @JokerOZ:

Did I say you believed it is crazy cheap? My statement is to say it is really not crazy cheap so why bother argue with me about what you said?

  • My mate's after a new phone and I'm suggesting the Note 3 (I've got a Note 2), but it looks like the 4 is about to come out. Any suggestions on what I should tell him? This price is pretty great.

$US170 delivered (~AU$221) for the Global version, with 3GB/32GB

Why you'd choose this option for a $30 saving is beyond me.

    • redmi note 4 is around AU270 (3gb + 64gb) which is new generation, slim and fully metal body while (2gb ram) is around $200, pay $10 -$15 more and get note 4 instead of this

      • Are these in stock or preorder?

    • well as for me i'm dead broke and lost my phone so going as cheap as i can, also quick delivery 2-5 days.

oh and its $38 cheaper with the coupon

  • +3

    China Version

do i need to take any bribes?

    • +3

Yes, they'll pay the phone and post it to you.

  • +2

Act of rooting the mobile to delete the apps/ flash 3rd party roms will void the warranty

Lol good luck getting a warranty claim from them in general

    • You can still install the clean(ish) Xiaomi internation rom can't you?

  • +1

Pretty standard price for the 16 GB version.
However at least with eGlobal you know you'll get it in about 7 days.
And this is MTK SoC, not Snapdragon

this is a terrible deal. not only is it not the global variant with b28, its not even the pro model with the snapdragon 650 and microSD support.

    and its more expensive.

if you wanted the basic redmi note 3 there are plenty, plenty of cheaper resellers online. even once you take into account paying for DHL shipping you'd still be in front.

    • Happy to be corrected, as I said am looking for cheapest redmi note 3 as I lost mine, if you can point me in the direction of cheaper resellers(NEW not used) i would be more than happy to buy. Also this does have microSD support up to 128Gb (or 32Gb the info is not 100%) and the snapdragon vs x10 reviews imo are mixed. https://www.quora.com/Which-is-a-better-processor-mtk-helio-…

      so duh.

      • +3

Seems the standard redmi note 3 is pretty thin on the ground but the redmi note 3 pro 16gb can be had for as little as $133 USD inc shipping (~$173 when converted)

        http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-…

standard redmi note 3 absolutely does not support microSD at all.

eglobal ships from HK as well so absolutely no benefit using it instead of the myriad of authorised resellers on aliexpress (or other suitable resellers like geekbuying, gearbest etc).

        • thank you, finally something constructive.

        • the website says it supports microsd.

          @JokerOZ: http://en.miui.com/thread-187093-1-1.html

eglobal might actually be selling the redmi note 3 pro if theyre saying it supports microSD. which is not a bad thing, but its still not the cheapest offer going around. plenty of discussion on other redmi note 3 deals which deal with this issue.

New poster and didnt quite expect to be smashed quite so hard. There are two types of bargains, the CHEAPEST and the BEST BANG FOR BUCK, I'm looking for the cheapest found this and thought I'd share, sorry if I wasted anyone's time with my "deal" but its the cheapest I've found. I'm more than happy to take advice from awesome ozbargainers but i'm looking for CHEAPEST not BBFB. if you have cheaper place, but reputable-ish then please post me your links. But you downvoters have criticized and not provided me with a better option. Hardly helpful.

The snapdragon 650 is vastly better than the Helio x10, well worth the small price extra. The Helio is using only higher clocked a53 cores that you typically find in budget phones, even like the old Huawei Y550 used a quad core a53 cortex powered s410. While the s650 also uses the new vastly superior a72 cores in its SoC. That's ignoring all those other aspects of the SoC that are typically better with Qualcomm chips, such as the modem, gpu, gps etc. I don't know much about the helio variant, but it's older so it wouldn't surprise me if it's a lot worse in other areas of the phone like cameras and screen?

    • I just ordered 6th Xiaomi Redmi note 3 pro SD version from Aliexpress. I really like it and does everything that one would need a phone to do. MTK version my friend had has a problem of draining battery very quickly so not sure if its a manufacturer defect or it's just mtk doing it.

The above link is the one which does the band 28 for USD$170 with internation ROM and OTA update.
They do ship very quickly as I have bought the previous model from the same seller.

I bought this one from Geekbuying at the same price but paid extra for the DHL shipping (same model as above).

I placed my order on the 02 Sep and they still have not sent my order. Not sure if I should just cancel it and go with Aliexpress.
