'kink resistance 3/10' printed proudly on the packaging screams cartel to me.

    • RU OK?

  • +1

It's as kinky as a playboy bunny

  • On the bright side… And yes I am ok… With a kink-o-meter reading of 3, you could use this hose to practice your knots

    • After buying a hose with a 5/10 kink raiting I now think the rating is probability that the hose won't have a kink in it when you use it. 50% chance of a kink is annoying. 30% chance of not having a kink leads to anger.

      RU SURE UR OK?

Might be because Woolworths are advertising the Hills "Iconic" 12mm 30m hose at the moment for $20 (save $5)…
    https://www.woolworths.com.au/Shop/Search/Products?searchTer…

That one has an anti-kink rating of 5/10.

    • doesnt have crimped connectors though.

  • Are those flexible/expandable hoses on eBay any good?

    • flexible hoes everywhere

    Blessed.

We experience is that the Nylex brand (the one's I have are light grey), made in Italy, are the best bang for buck

Had them for at least 5 years and still going strong

    • Is made in Italy a good thing?

      • Maybe, maybe not

They're certainly lasting a long time

I see the joke i was going to make has already been made a few times, so I'll be on my way then.

Bought the KMart one last year. Was rubbish. Couldn't even last one season. It became really hard and "crispy" after Sun exposure.
Wherever it kinkd, it made a hole. Eventually, when I turned on the water, it looked like I had sprinklers everywhere.

      Do not waste your money.

  • Kink rating at least 7 or don't bother

  • +1

I have the hoselink hoses. Never looked back. They are expensive though my ass hurts

    • Must be Male Ho'se

      • Must be Big Jose.

  • How much at Masters?

    • With Masters current 10% off everything after they raised everything by 30% don't expect a bargain there.

I'm ok but this hose monster sure isn't. Waste of money.

  • I have this hose it might not kink much but it is impossible to coil seem to have its own twist through it that tries to change the coil direction every few laps. Only time it behaves and is easy to coil is after being out in the sun on a 40 degree day.

  • Thanks just need a long hose to do my patio. Tap is like 25m away

  • Seriously? I just bought the 15m for the same price literally last night…

  • Original price?

  • These are absolutely rubbish. Spend some coin and get something half decent if you use them regulary. Ebay has a few going around.

  • That hose will drive you mad with kinking. Generally speaking, hoses at Bunnings are overpriced and imported rubbish. I bought the Esdan Premium Garden Hose, 20m for $35 at a country town hardware store. Great hose, does not kink. It is also Australian made. You can also buy it here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/270661302226. Hopefully this will help someone looking for a good garden hose.
