Tips (lifted from user jutsu):

Clothes are smaller and the descriptions aren't always true. There are also scams on electronic items, be careful.
If you want to get exactly 25% off ($20 order), it's better to use $US and convert it to $AU at the end to see the estimated price.
Aliexpress mainly use USD but the conversion fee is ~2% so if your bank is cheaper: pay in $US or GBP, it depend of the exchange rate.
e.g. Cashback 7% or 7.5%
Test your items first before confirming the receipt.
It takes 7-14 days to receive your parcel if the seller is in Shenzhen and send your items 1-3 days after your order. Without these conditions, it can take 1 month.
Be aware of Australian's customs rules !
e.g. 40% off with an US$20 order: US$2 from a few sellers coupon + US$5 from this deal + 7.5% cashback

  • what do you mean by beware of Australian custom rule ?

      Dont order power banks…

      • Or replica rolex

        • Harder to find real brand knock-offs on AliExpress these days; most watches are genuine Chinese brands - like Curren or WINNER.

        • @railspider: They're all on DHGate and Taobao.

        • @ilikeit: Nice, new they had to be somewhere - still see them in person in the markets when visiting SE Asia.

Do DHGate/Taobao offer reliable postage to Aus?

        • +1

@railspider: Dhgate is basically the same as Ali. Taobao now posts directly to OZ (required an agent previously), but you need to use Google translator. There are lots of pictorial guides online - search on Reddit.

        • [@railspider] @ilikeit:

Most of the replicas on aliexpress don't show the logo in the pictures and you have to contact the seller for real pictures of the items. Regardless, the quality of replica watches on aliexpress isn't amazing. For really top notch stuff you have to go through a 'trusted dealer'. There are a couple of forums (with 140k+ members) with a huge amount of guides and reviews and comparisons. Be prepared to pay $250-450 USD for a top notch watch.

Obviously I am not encouraging or condoning any trademark infringement or unsavoury behaviour . This is only for educational purposes.

        • @tony abbott:Yep, TDs only. Ali rep watches are crappers. That being said, there are some lowish cost homages that are decent quality with quality movements.

      • Aww but I want the Anker Powerhouse :(

        • Your rich….

        • @TheClipIt: Price just went up to $999.89 :/ I was gonna use it for Pokémon Go.

        • @Clear: Don't worry its only $995.89 after the coupon!

  • I used approximately 5 accounts from the previous deal. This works a treat when buying multiple small items even when they are all shipped to the same address.

I'm considering a few more of these:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/XiaoMi-Colorful-APP-WIFI-Rem…

    • How do you even able to use the coupon with creating new account ? Do you use a different credit card number for each account ? I tried it using the same credit card number and the order straight away cancelled.

      • The previous deal didn't require different credit card numbers… Seems like they've fixed that up unfortunately.

  • If you can generate virtual credit/debit card number or own pre-paid cards, it can be interesting to use the 1ct coupons (1ct items or $2 off for 1ct without minimum).

It is also possible to use a parcel locker adress and it is a good way to get $5 by spending at least $20 from CR (new member only) -> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/265702

Well, I hope they don't save our credit/debit card numbers…

    1. Eligibility:
iii) during the Promotion Period, registers a new payment card (credit or debit) to their account
    • Hmmm didn't notice that eligibility. Anyone know if that was a condition for the previous deal?

      • +1

This condition wasn't in the previous deal.

  • There are also scams on electronic items, be careful.

What kind of scams? I bought a cheap watch there last week and this morning I got a message from the seller saying that china post returned it to them, and that my options are to either get my money back via paypal, or to open a dispute, or to pick something else from their store.

I replied that I'll take the refund via paypal (as aliexpress wouldn't let me open a dispute sooner than 10 days after the seller sent the item). Am I looking down the barrel of a scam here? Are they going to "accidentally" put way too much into my paypal account and then ask me to send it back before reversing their transaction? Time will tell I guess. If they do ask that, I won't be sending it back, I'll contact paypal instead.

Both will get you your money back. Sometimes sellers list an item with no stock.

    • The buyers can receive a defective product or a fake one but if it's cheap, it's easy to get a refund.
