Places to Buy Pre-Chopped Salad Vegetables?

Hello! Im looking a place to buy pre-chopped veggies for my gran mostly and maybe some for me. She turned 80 this year and even though shes capable Im just looking for anywhere to get things like grated or chopped carrots, onions, cucumbers etc. so she can just add a can of tuna or some bbq chicken to make an easy salad. Im aware colesworth do them but they are in rather small packets and are pretty pricey too. I know costco used to do a big 'alfresco' salad mix of chopped lettuce, cabbage and carrots and it was like big kg bag for 5 bucks but they dont any more as all they have is that mesculin thin leaf type mix.

Thanks for any advice and thanks for reading!

a kilo bag?, unless she eats a heap of salad it wont last I think.

seems to be plenty of places around according to Google. eg.
    http://www.springfreshsalads.com.au/
    http://www.readycutvegies.com.au/

    • It was just a a number I threw out there cos the old costco one was a kilo. Im flexible but she eats alot of salad and vegies and is probs healthier than me lol so I want to start eating more salads too I just cbf chopping up vegetables all day.

Thanks for the links, the 1st one looks primo but its a damn shame they are in Adelaide. Swanky lookin site too. Ill give the other one a ring tomorrow as its in geelong.

yeah, the springfresh one looks good and a pretty good price to i think, not a heap more than the vegies whole at woolies.

  • Coles also has some, but it's not exactly cheap. e.g. individual vegs like carrots @ http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/coles-shredded-carr…, mixed carrots/broccoli @ http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/coles-carrot-brocco…, salad mixes @ http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/coles-salad-mixed-l…

They're usually near the whole vegs in-store.

    • Yeh I know of them but like you said they are pricey and not worth it.

  • Woolies and Coles have plenty of options for this in the frozen section, you just have to remember to defrost them overnight. Woolies would have at least 10+ pre-chopped/diced options, not including the mixed bags.

    • Looking more at salad vegetables and/or salad mixes but thanks all the same.
