Cheap flights with Vietnam Airlines searching through Momondo, booking through DeNA, BYOjet and BestJet.

Outwards flights in OCT/NOV with return flight in OCT/NOV/DEC.

Cheap flights during the same period to London and Frankfurt as well.

  Good Price. A few notes from see this deal and this.

  • It's a long layover in Ho Chi Minh. Melb-Paris is a 8 hour layover and on the way back 14 hours.
  • Russian Visa is $150. Vietnam is $25 (or possibly less?) so not too bad.

    "Russian Visa is $150" plus a lot of stress and wasted time in dealing with their consulate worth thousands $

      Of course it different for everyone but I had no issues with getting a visa, even took photos at home, cut them to size and sent it off and a week later I had my passport back with a visa in it.

      Only issue I ever had was going visa free on a ferry from Helsinki and not knowing that I needed to show booked accomodation, took 5 mins on an internet kiosk to make a reservation and all was well.

        It's getting worse with time.
        A friend of mine a couple of weeks ago had lots of problems.
        He had to go to the consulate 3 times to find that his visa wasn't ready despite the promise it would be. And when he phoned, they would hang up once they hear English speaking person.
        Their attitude towards the foreigners has gone back to the way it used to be under the Soviet regime. KGB (now called FSB) never sleeps.

      The process may be a pain but never had an issue getting a Russian visa

      I had no problems getting a visa there about a year ago. It was quick and painless.
