How's the focusing on the Xiaomi? I bought that VR Box one from GeekBuying a while back, and it can't get anything in focus even with the lens adjustments.
It's not just mine either, as I bought 2 as gifts for people and theirs are rubbish also. Wasted 30 bucks, so really skeptical about mobile VR now :(You need to use the QR code setting that applies to the VR box. There should be a setting in the app to scan it.
If you use the wrong one it sets the focus wrong. Unfortunately, the VR Box didn't include a QR code in the documentation (well, mine didn't).
I tried the one here:
https://teslaandi.wordpress.com/2016/01/22/vr-box-2-0-qr-cod…and it worked ok.
Hey thanks for the suggestion, however it remains the same after using that QR code. No matter how I adjust the lenses (forward, back, side to side), they just won't merge into one image. Using an S7 Edge fwiw.
Also doesn't help that there's no magnetic button on it to use as a trigger, as that bluetooth remote it comes with doesn't work for me; every button just exits whatever app I try to use :(
Time to start saving for the a Vive I guess :p
Once I setup the cardboard app with the QR code (same as mskeggs used) I was able to get the 4way adjustable lens to work with my eyes but I found I needed to re calibrate on seperate apps.
This was with the Samsung S4 and must say if you were to use a phone with a smaller or lower DPI screen you may be in for a bad time.
How is the nose padding on these ones? Is it comfortable?
I feel ok, the main thing is you won't wanna use it too long each time as slight dizzy and sour eyes feeling.
Damn, my S7 Edge is .24 of an inch too large.
How's the lense adjustment on this? IS there a way to adjust the lenses or the focal point? I don't see any way to adjust it.
EDIT: Nope. Can't adjust it.
http://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2016/09/review-xiaomi-vr-zi…This is just a fancy Google Cardboard. I think you can get ones at the same price with adjustable lenses.
How do you control the VR games? Do you need to buy a separate controller?
Is this compatible with Google cardboard?
I wonder if I can watch the TV programe on the Xiaomi VR BOX. I mean if run the TV app on my mobile and I connect this Xiaomi VR BOX to my mobile, can I watch TV program on it?
pretty sure the video needs to support side by side viewing, however if you have the cardboard app all your regular videos can be watched
Field of view only 75 degrees, pass
Just received one from everbuying, paid AUD 16.99. Quite interesting toy
