I want…
-a gaming platform
-weight doesnt matter
-Nor does battery life (like more than 1 hrs would be enough…)
-quad-core would be nice
-larger screen size would be nice too~
-a bargain under 1500 (for quad), 1000 for anything else.
Basically i live between my rents home nd my gf's so i need a portable gaming platform which wont cost too much.

Slightly over your budget but pretty decent deal and at 18" it's good sized screen for gaming.
Id be more concerned with the GPU on that thing, and lol how they still try to flog the laptop as a 1.6*4=6.4GHz, any computer store that does that makes me think again.

Get an asus, they're known for their reliability. IBM's are known for their physical durability (but they're ugly as well)
