    • Private sale prices aren't a benchmark for a brand new car.

      • do you think the OP has a good deal?

        • I don't work for Honda so I don't know. Doesn't sound like much off RRP though

        • @Spackbace:

sounds like f all off the RRP - so not a good deal IMO

  • door led light, tint and floor mat

    AHAHAHAHAHA

I've never paid extra for tinting. And door lights and floor mats should come with the car for a new car.

Oh sorry this is your first car, I'll cut you some slack then. The dealer is screwing you.

Included in the price doesn't necessarily mean they haven't already been haggled on.

If OP didn't state floor mats, they'd have about 5 replies on here of people saying 'make sure you get mats and fuel included'.

  • Without knowing the details included $31,790 is a possible recommended price from here, http://www.caradvice.com.au/460699/2016-honda-civic-rs-revie…

    and this:
2016 Honda Civic sedan list pricing

       Honda Civic 1.8 VTi sedan – $22,390 (up $400)
       Honda Civic 1.8 VTi-S sedan – $24,490 (up $1200)
       Honda Civic 1.5 VTi-L sedan – $27,790 (up $1500)
Honda Civic 1.5 RS sedan – $31,790 (new grade to replace the $30,290 Sport)
       Honda Civic 1.5 VTi-LX sedan – $33,590 (new grade)

It is possible that the dealer is trying to take advantage of you… DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE MAKING A DEAL, go to the dealer prepared with priced in hand!

Those RRPs are without on road costs, that's how reviewers advertise. So add stamp duty, dealer delivery and registration.

      • Not aware of vehicles having "stamp" duty but this is an example of registration fees:

Vehicle type: Vehicle with 1 to 4 cylinders, 2 rotors or a steam vehicle
        Vehicle value: $30,000
        Duty payable: $900.00

        Registration fee $300.00
        Traffic improvement fee $52.30
        CTP insurance premium $368.60
        Duty (new registration) $900.00
        Plate fee $28.20

        Total fee $1649.10

So even on the most expensive Honda Civic 33,590.00 the total price is still below 36 all in, so he the OP is not getting a "good" deal!

        • You forgot dealer delivery. As I said, the prices were before on-roads

Maybe next time you give out advice based on RRPs, the prices will be truly inclusive.

Unless you buy all your cars unlicensed

yes 36000 drive away. but found one at paramatta dealership 'autosports' 33800$ drive away. 2.4k cheaper haha. so still dwelling more. thank you for your help really appreciate it.

    • Good JOB!!!
Don't ever take the first offer and always do some homework before heading to the dealer… You should offer a price lower then you want to pay based on your homework and let them come to you with what they can do from there!!!
