  • oh man, and I just bought a pair of headsets off em a few days ago :(

  • Has anyone claimed warranty from them before? I was just wondering how it would work? Especially since I'm in VIC and they are in NSW, if the item malfunctions do I have to post it to them to get it fixed, or do I have to contact the product's company directly for warranty issues?

    • Shouldn't matter as manufacturers need to handle warranty. Usually a retailer will allow exchange if DOA or faulty within a fortnight (but they are still dealing with the manufacturer.

  • Wish this time they will actually provide delivery option for oled tv's outside NSW 😊

  • I need a TV that needs to be delivered after a Month, would I be able to buy this now and would they be able to hold the stock for 1+ Month and deliver it at a later date?

Im interested in the "Samsung UA55KS8000W"

Or am I better to just wait a Month and look again then, as it may even be cheaper during that time?

    • +3

If you ship it to me I don't mind borrowing it for a month :D

      • Sounds like a plan lol.

  • Ahhh no they dont have the sony 75 8500d on the list.
    I missed it last time.

    • Last 20% off at Bing Lee had more TV selections. Got my 75" 8500C for $3200 with the HN price match and Amex rebate. Best purchase ever for over a year!

  • Why do eBay constantly have these sales? They don't do it in the UK as I still follow hotukdeals. I'm not complaining as it's great but it's weird.

    • I think it's managed regionally.

    • Probably got a huge marketing budget to spend to try and grow the business. Although I dread to think what's gonna happen if it fails… no more eBay Australia?

  • So Binglee only offer click and collect for mobiles and won't ship via their ebay store? Ughhh

    • You have to change your delivery post code to a Sydney one I think (eg 2000) and then you can click and collect at any store. Do t forget to change it back after you purchase ☺️

  • I'm interested in purchasing an oven, appears they offer delivery from their site (flat $40), but not for an ebay listing for the same item… is this common? Any point in contacting them to see if they can add a delivery option for a specific item or would I be wasting my time?

  • Does Bing Lee offer fixed delivery date?

We are moving into our new house in a few weeks time and want them to deliver it to the new place once we get keys.

    • If you buy it in store … Yes they do.
But I'm assuming your delivery date isn't like … 3 months in advanced - in which case they can stil do it, but they might not (their own discretion)

But since we're talking about ebay - i dont think you can select a delivery date when you check out (although i've never bought anything that needs delivery from bing lee online so i could be wrong). I'd suggest you give them a call and ask them to change the delivery date to your liking. Prob best to ask first before you buy just to be safe… but they certainly can deliver on the date you ask.

      • Spoke to them yesterday and was told they can hold the order for up to 30 days. Works for us as we will get keys within a few weeks

    Any confirmation yet?

    • -1

      No

      • +1

Just saw a comment on Lyl's listing that the price jacking has begun.
Maybe an indication that it is imminent?

        • Almost certainly going to start at 10:00am AEDT today based on the expiry.

  • Does Bing Lee allow change of mind returns, when bought on eBay, provided goods are sealed/saleable?

  • Anyone know if you can combine this with the click and collect offer eBay has that ends today?

    • Can't see why not…

      • don't think so as C&C is for Woolies only and BL doesn't allow C&C at woolies :(

    • +1

Click and collect has to be from Woolworths or Bigw to qualify.

  • Hasn't started yet ):

    I'm guessing Wednesday now.

    • was anxiously waiting :)

    • same here..

      • me too haha, have to wait til weds :(

    • wanted to buy my item and go back to sleep in peace but guess we'll have to wait now ;_;

Isn't it more likely to start Tuesday 25 October after the current eBay Click & Collect sale (which ends today)?

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/270891

      • True, not to mention the last 20% sale from TheGoodGuys started on a Tuesday as well?

    • is this a guessing game now lol

I think this post is fine to people that are planning to buy hold it. But I am not sure about the others, shouldn't those be posted when is is active/confirmed?

    • This is like a ''head's up, don't buy yet as you could get it cheaper if the deal goes ahead'' type of posts and I'm sure they are allowed :)

      • I meant for the dyson and hero5 deals.

    • I appreciate the heads up too. I'm after a laptop and it gives me a chance to see what they have and then some time to try and research it. This way I am ready to buy when and if the deal arrives. Although I can't find any reviews for the two laptops I shortlisted but I have found that the maximum memory is 8gb for both. This sort of info is helpful - normally I would have assumed they would take 16gb no trouble.

  • I am looking for a reasonable 15.6" laptop to set up for a relative. Bing Lee have 2 that seem reasonable at a pre discount price of $600. The plan is to install an ssd and keep the original hdd in an aluminium usb enclosure for backups etc.

The criteria are reasonably fast, 15.6" (poor eyesight). Didn't really need a dvd drive, although these 2 have them. Mostly for general browsing, email, viewing photos.

Can anyone suggest which might be the better laptop? Aspire ES1-531 or HP - 15-AY058TU

I ended up getting this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161799779615?_trksid=p2057872.m27… for the click and collect deal. $100 back for every $300 spent. Price was $450, so I should get a $100 voucher to put towards a samsung ssd. I think this was a better deal than the 20% which would have been a $90 discount and assuming, as many have suggested otherwise, no price jacking.

Booyaaaaah! Got the Hero5 for $439.20 .. I know I should have used the Cash Rewards, but I was afraid the stock was gonna go out real fast!

    • Same here. Going by the last Good Guys sale, they'll be gone in 30 minutes or less.

    • I used Cash Rewards and purchased GoPRO and Acer Notebook exactly at 10AM.

    • GoPro Hero5 currently out of stock for NSW.. just tried to buy another one for a birthday present, but it told me its out of stock. Do you guys think that they will restock?

  • Ordered a Sunbeam EM7000 for $489.20 delivered, awesome price! Thanks OP!!!

After a new tv please comment on whats a decent buy coming from lg plasma after a 50 inch dosent have to be 4k just decent picture thanks

  • So I've got a Dyson Corded DC35 Multifloor and I really want the cordless one.
My wife is abit iffy due to the cost of buying a new handstick.

    Do I
    - be conservative, sell the corded dyson and buy the V6 (live in a small townhouse) (net spend = $0)
    - be semi conservative, sell the corded dyson and buy the V8 Animal (Net spend $350)
    - be moderate, sell the corded dyson and buy the V8 absolute (Net Spend $429)
    - splurge, keep the corded dyson and buy the V8 Animal (Net Spend $599)
    - Super splurge, keep the corded dyson and buy the V8 Absolute (Net Spend $679)

    Thanks!

    • If you dont have much or wont be using much on hard floors, then be semi conservative, or else moderate.

  • Seems like I cant get the discount when using a paypal account in other currencies/countries than australia?
If anyone knows about an easy workaround I would gladly listen.

(creating a new AU paypal account connected to our AU credit card is not doable)

  • Do we know if buying off Bing Lee ebay, do they still price match The Good Guys?
Like if I choose pick up from store, can I tell the counter to price match even though I paid through ebay? Will they refund the difference?
Or I should ask them for a price match before paying on ebay?
    Thanks.

    • (comment deleted)

  • Does anyone know how it works in regards to buying something and returning it in store for an exchange? Do you still keep the discount?

I would highly recommend purchasing a GPS instead.

  • Trolling some of the last few posts. Almost worth a temporary ban. Seriously, some of the questions really defy common sense - the amount of wishful thinking is incredible.

No, you cannot stack the eBay discount with some other discount outside of eBay.
No, a retailer isn't going to honour your eBay subsidised discount outside of eBay.
No, other retails stores aren't going to match the "eBay subsidy" discount.
No, eBay/PayPal aren't going to support your weird-ass account configurations/contortions.

EDIT: oh, and a quick plug for the new wiki page (created by someone else):
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/ebay_sale_guide

Maybe that's the best place for these types of questions…

    • +1

Support wierd-ass account config just because it is in a foreign currency? Bing Lee still gets exactly the same amount in AUD into their account and the shipping will still be to australia.
Thanks for your awesome explanation for why I cant spend my money on Bing Lees products, you are the champion.

      • Why can't you pay in AUD ?
You do have a weird-ass account situation.

        • Because Im leaving the country soon and dont have the amount available in on my AUD account.
The conversion rate of paypal isnt great, but depending on which currency you are converting from it can still be beneficial.

A paypal account with a solid background of buying stuff on eBay, where the only culprit is that I would be paying in another currency where paypal stands for the conversion rate (which they charge for and make money) is concidered a wierd-ass account situation? Ok

        • @Maxxy: you only have 2 options

use ur paypal balance and thus logically be bound by paypals conversion rate

or use your credit card and use its conversion rate

          those are your options

    • You are totally wrong. These deals DO defy common sense - Target let me exchange my PS4 for a different bundle and keep the discounted value.

  • Thanks. Picked up a JBL Xtreme.

  • can you use the $50 voucher, that Ebay emails, at the same time?

  • Can anyone recommend a security camera setup? I currently have 1 running over POE to my server but new cameras are about 130+ for 1080p video. Some of these setups are only 400 with 4 cameras. I can potentially ditch the POE setup then I guess.
