    I considered going the MOA Pale but remembering it from the members special that $10 six pack did me no favours. I bought two of the Karl Strauss ones on the suggestion it's similar to Sierra Nevada (and a third of the price at this rate).

    Note that these are best before, not use bys. Beer will be good for at least a few months past the 'best before' date so long as it isn't stored in heat

      The main problem is the hops fade out of the beer and it doesn't taste nearly as good as when fresh. Some beers can be nice when cellared though — like Belgian Strong Ales, or even Coopers Sparkling is actually pretty good after a year in the cellar.

      Age won't do any of the beers on this list any favours though.

        Coopers always has a BEST AFTER date on it. It can confuse rookie bottleshop owners and I have known of Coopers beers being discounted because the date was thought to be BEST BEFORE.

    Got 2 cases of Dos Equis Ambar. I don't always buy cheap beer…but when I do I buy Dos Equis.

    Just picked up the Lowenbrau tonight for $42.90, best before 03/17. So maybe there is no need to get the short expiry date to get it for this price.

    The Belhaven twisted thistle is delicious, has a creaminess to it. Maybe something to do with Scotland and the stout/porter influence?

    My first slab of Golden Hen last sunday was delicious, the next one i got a return on due to the oct/2016 expiry, They gave me 2 six packs of golden hen and 2 six packs of speckled hen. So far 2 golden hens have had a metallic after taste. So be wary of them finding 6 packs from around the place and combining them. The expired slab might have been better if it was somewhere cold and dark the entire time. Kind of wish I could get pintail instead, but can't spend too much money on beer as i also got a twistled thistle slab

    I bought the Karl Strauss Pintail Pale Ale click and collect and best before was March 2017. I may have just been lucky, YMMV.

    Picked up my Moa Session PA yesterday and pleasantly surprised BB date is September 2017 - <$30 for so called "short dated" beer. Winning!
    (Also my Heineken has BB date of march 2017 - so winning there too…)

    my Pintail was march 2017 from Woolloongabba Bris, tastes a lot like atomic pale ale on first impression, I'm sure there is more to it but thats all I am getting on this one.

    Was also repackaged so may be slightly light struck?

    Can anyone else compare the Carl S Pintail to Gauge Roads Atomic for me thats tried both?
