I wonder if these are just cheaper new seasons prices? Bunnings don't typically have sales.

If it's a permanent reduction it's even better.

    • My guess is they are matching someone else's sale.

      • Matching aldis

    Just in time for Diwali

  • Do these flicker?

    • 8 functions, so I would imagine 1 of those is flicker :)

"Outdoor use"… Might be time to turn the house into a National Lampoon's Vacation shrine again ;)

    • Just make sure you dont have the sandwitches from the back of the car. :P

Are they solar as no mention of it?

    • no mention of it

      Powered by: voltage.

They are powered by a small suitcase size nuclear reactor. No idea why this wasn't mentioned in the description.

I tried to buy some lights last year from dicksmith and they never sent them and wouldn't give me my money back by the time they contacted me no where had any lights left. The grinch dicksmith dicked me good.

Nice one OP. Was just passing Bunnings Villawood so I picked up two sets. They had the regular price displayed ($29) though they did ring up at the discounted price so I'd say it's just a short-term sale and they will revert to normal price.

  • Thanks OP got a couple of boxes too.

Went to Bunnings Artarmon NSW, They had them displayed as $29 and didn't honour the internet price either, Wasted half hr. Disappointed.

    • Thanks for letting us know. I was literally heading out the door to that store. Will probably try elsewhere now.

    • That cranky grey-headed 'meet and greet' prick at Artarmon shits me

Prices in store I went to were RRP. Asked Sales Person. He checked it on his digital device which confirmed the website price. Low voltage version is the reduced product not the solar. Walked out with a few packs. This is Mt Gravatt in Brisbane.

    • They were on the Bunnings homepage yesterday. Certainly no pricing error or anything!
      Tried again?

      • Sure you had the right ones? There are a bunch of different variants. 100, 220, 300, 500 bulbs. Then solar vs AC. And also colour vs white although both should be covered.

It took me a while to find the right one. You need to use the Bunnings item number. Even when I asked someone with the hand-held, he looked it up and kind of blew me off and wouldn't say what the stock levels were or where in the store it said they were. Turned around and there was a pallet behind me with them. So near the Christmas section but not quite in it.

  • Thanks OP, bought one at Bunnings Ashfield. Didn't have to show anything though I was ready, it scanned for $14.89. Lot of stock on floor, mostly white ones.

I usually wait for the neighbors to put up some outside decorations. I then pinch a little from each.

I never do it down the same street (That would be stealing). Just drive a few blocks down.

    • You sir are a (profanity).

      • -3

Oh goodie, I'm 'Sir swear word'

  • My Bunnings only had sets with 200 or 400 lights.🙁

  • I picked up 5 from Castle Hill. Many still available.

300*5=15M. 6M is the length to the first LED.

  • Can anyone tell me how many wires are in the loom. More wires = better light sequences = more pretty.

Cheap ones will always have 2 colours on at the same time.

    • +1

Only a three-wire loom I'm afraid (what can you expect at this price) and yes, two colours do always come on at the same time (green/blue or red/yellow). It does have some nice patterns and dimming effects though so I'm more than happy with them but YMMV.

  • no more stock.. what the hell…. !

Can confirm. Plenty left at Joondalup store, WA
Sign is still $29 but scans at the 14ish price

Looks like there are hundreds still in stock at Malaga, WA store. They are in the xmas display but on a high shelf out of reach with a $29 price tag, still scan at $14.89 but. Had to ask a Bunnings employee to get some down for me

Still stacks at Toombul marked at the special price.
