“The Kensington 4-Position Monitor Arm with SmartFit™ System features independent height and tilt adjustments, It saves desk space by mounting onto your desk, and swivels the screen away when it’s not in use. With the Smart-Fit system, … The arm can support the weight and size of 15” to 17”, up to 10kgs [actually 20lb].”

  • but ignore that. It works well with modern 22-24" wide monitors too. Even in portrait mode. I'm using one now.

VESA mount, and clamps to the back edge of your desk.

$19.95 + $9.95 post, discount for multiples. These usually cost more like $100.

Seems quite handy, been craving a new moniter but just waiting for a good deal! Will grab this in the meantime..

    • i'm on the same boat

      • Thinking of maybe purchasing the Asus MS246H to use this, what do you guys think?

  • So is this mount a VESA 100 (100mm between screws), or dual (75 and 100)?

Just trying to find out if it will fit an Acer AL2423W (24"). The standard terminology is all a bit sketchy…

Also, does it rotate horizontally, or only swivel vertically?

    • Yes, 100mm plate. It's also drilled for 75mm.
It rotates, tilts and swivels behind the monitor, all by friction - no click-stops.
as well as swings at the base, and 4 height positions. Arm length is fixed.

    • I found some good info in freddy's first post:

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/26177

Sounds like it will do the job nicely.

  • good deal.. get two for duel screen fun.
I would but I use an old projector stand I got 10 years ago in the trading post.. it's perfect for my needs.

  • I think you can cheaper. Use staticice.

    • Link ?

  • doesn't look like this suits the 23" LG LED backlit monitor at all

    • Why not? No VESA mount?

      • yep, no VESA mount based on what i've been reading, whereas the widescreen LG monitors are fine.
Monitor arm is still useful to have, if you have a monitor that isn't height adjustable nevertheless.

Correction: LG E2340V-PN does have VESA mount. but 200mm x 200mm which this arm probably doesn't support?

  • Good - got a couple to add to the new Dell 24" also on OzBarg!

  • says :The arm can support the weight and size of 15” to 17”

so it can take bigger screen sizes??

    • Size has nothing to do with weight.

Look at the maximum weight it can support.

A TV stand COTD had a while ago said it was good for TVB's up to 22" yet the maximum weight it could handle was good for a Sony 42" bravia!

  • Sold out awww.

  • I ordered one of these (before it sold out) and the vx1000 webcam (with a -$15 coupon).

The total came to $42 shipped for both :).

  • holy crap that is cheap… I bought the Ergotron LX Dual Side-by-Side Arm for like $450 AUD a few months ago lol… http://www.ergotron.com/Products/tabid/65/PRDID/354/language… … but it is awesome and mounts my 2 x 24" !!!

  • Received mine today although I'm having a bit of trouble setting it up. The clamp on the bottom makes the arm and monitor face left, and I can't seem to rotate the base so it faces forward (like the picture). Obviously it would work fine if I clamped it on the left side of my table but I'm wanting to adjust it so I can clamp on the far side of my desk.

    Any body know how?
