Leatherman Wingman Multi-Tool $54.90 + Free Delivery (RRP $109) (5 Other Models Heavily Discounted Too) @ Snowys

120

We've slashed the prices on 6 models of Leatherman multi-tool, including the Wingman, Supertool, Tread, Sidekick, Signal (+ Sheath), and Wave (+ Leather Case) (links to these products below).

Why Should I Buy A Wingman?

Well, everyone ought to have a multi-tool for a start. And the Wingman is an ideal 'first' multi-tool for the keen camper, hiker, or tinkerer. It comprises 14 tools - yep, you read right - including:

Spring-action Needlenose Pliers
Spring-action Regular Pliers
Spring-action Wire Cutters
Wire Stripper
420HC Combo Knife
Spring-action Scissors
Package Opener
Ruler (1.5 in | 3.8 cm)
Can Opener
Bottle Opener
Wood/Metal File
Phillips Screwdriver
Medium Screwdriver
Small Screwdriver

I can actually vouch for this tool - I have one and use it all the time. In fact, every time I grab it I feel like MacGyver. (Without the blonde mullet!)

And, being Leatherman, it's well built and covered by a 25 year warranty!

What Other Tools Do You Have Discounted?

Well, for a start, all of our prices are heavily discounted from RRP, every day of the week. So check out the entire range of multi-tools if you're after something specific. However, the super-dooper discount applies to the following:

Supertool -$114.90
Tread - $199.90
Sidekick - $69.90
Signal (w/ Sheath) -$154.90
Wave (w/ Leather Case)- $129.90

Would It Make An Okay Gift?

If I received something like this as a gift before I got my own, I would have been chuffed! The best gifts are useful. Multi-tools are as useful as you get.

Christmas is just around the corner so what are you waiting for?

Cool - How Much Does It Cost To Deliver To Adelaide/Sydney/Canberra/Brisbane/Melbourne/Perth/Darwin/Hobart?

Nada. It's free, free, free. In fact, our free delivery zone goes way beyond the capital cities - all of NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and ACT are covered, and most of the populated bits of the other states and territories. Check out our free delivery map.

"But what if I buy a big, bulky tent?" I hear you ask. Doesn't matter. Free delivery if you're in the zone.

How Long Does The Offer Run For?

Until we sell out. On some tools that'll be quicker than on others, so hop to it.

  • It's a good price but I wouldn't consider it a deal. You can pick them up for 50 odd dollars elsewhere.

    • I can't find 'em any cheaper via Google or on eBay? Cheapest on eBay is $59.80. Plus, in buying from Snowys you get to deal with us! I'm sure plenty of folks here will tell you how good a thing that is! ;) Hehe.

Link for $50 elsewhere or it didn't happen

        Haha. Yep. :D

Best thing about Leathermans, is the fact they have QUALITY knives.

      Sure are, Master! :)

Hey Paul, any deals on the bit kit attachment or pocket clip for the surge?

    • G'day ppierce - I've just updated the price on our website for the Bit Kit as it wasn't correct. $39.90 you're looking at. We don't have the clip but could order one in? Cheers, Paul

I like the thread and the signal but can't decide
Can you send me a coupla demo's?
Gonna bear grills it through the hedges on the way in to work
Then I need to fence off my doomsday compound
(mom's house) from all you bastards and the refugees from nz
    Choice ay
Just chuck em over the Tweed River into qld
    I'll find them

    • G'day Beach Bum - Sounds like you live a busy life. :) We can't do demos I'm afraid but the Signal and Thread are very different tools. The Signal is a bona fide multi-tool; the Tread more of a wearable just-in-case. Cheers, Paul

I love Snowys (bought a $750 Coleman tent from you guys last week), but whoever the importer is for Leatherman is well and truly taking the p1ss with their prices. A cursory look on Amazon shows these sale prices to be roughly double of the normal prices in the US.

Zen imports… They also import the Led Lensers..
+1 for Snowys as well. Have bought some Blackwolf turbo panels and an exped mat lately.
My go to store now !

      • Thanks for the kind words ebosh and ppierce. Glad to hear you've experienced Snowys! :D

It's not that clear-cut ordering from the US. I just checked out Amazon and couldn't find a seller that would ship a Wingman to Australia (maybe this is a purposeful arrangement between Leatherman USA and the Aussie distributor) and REI wants to slug $35 delivery making the Sidekick (they don't have the Wingman listed) come to a whopping $87.95US!

        Cheers, Paul

Amazon has an almost blanket ban on shipping knives to Australia, probably because they get a lot of complaints about them being confiscated by customs. Australian knife laws are rather tight and it's easy for a fairly normal knife to come under the "not allowed" category. I've tried to buy a Spyderco knife that's specifically designed for rescue responders, nobody in the US will ship it to Australia and it costs about 3 or 4 times as much buying here if you can find anyone who's managed to get stock imported.

        • @banana365: I didn't realise this. Thanks for the insight. Cheers, Paul

@banana365: Multi-tools are specifically allowed by customs. Last month I bought four Leathermen from the US, sent via Shipito and USPS. No problems at all. It just took a while… next time I'll use a courier.

A Spyderco knife looks like it'll probably be classified as prohibited though.

        • @eug: > Multi-tools are specifically allowed by customs.

Good to know. Not sure Amazon will think that hard though - if it has a blade, they probably play it safe/cover their arse and just don't allow them to be sent. I did manage to get one sent about 10 years ago from Amazon, but I had to go through a ridiculously long web chat with someone to persuade them the knife was legal.
The Spyderco knives are all available in Australia, but are hard to find/expensive, even though many do seem to match the prohibited criteria. The law seems to be very patchy in its enforcement/interpretation.

        • @banana365: funnily enough I've been going on a bit of a Ganzo/Sanrenmu buying spree lately from Fasttech and I'm currently 4/4 getting through and I've got another on the way. I'm shocked they get through but for $15 I'll keep taking a punt until I get knocked back.

@paul-snowys Yeah, something is definitely up with the distributor. And you guys rock

What prohibited criteria do they match? Single hand openers were reallowed (if that's a word) years ago.

          @banana365:

I bought a Leatherman Wave from Amazon 5 years ago as a replacement for a Leatherman Kick I had be rocking. I paid $78 AUS shipped with a nylon sheath. It appears it is now worth more than I paid for it!

        • +1

@Link: That would have been around the time when the AUD was around parity with the USD, so no surprise there!

Recently ordered a Wave as a xmas present for a family member
Was lucky I remembered this post - Thanks Snowys, saved me $$
and allowed me to get a better Leatherman than I could otherwise have gotten (even though I overspent by $30)
excellent delivery time, tracked as well and in time for Christmas!!
Shame the pliers are not sprung like the Wingman, although Wave compatible with the bit kits.

    • Thanks for the feedback, Austaurean. That's one lucky family member you've got! :)
