  • Is this still current as it says 2015 in the post?

    • +1

Yes, they posted on Facebook as well, see my comment.

      • Thanks

    • I just got an email about it, so I presume it's a typo

      • +1

When you presume, you make a pre out of u and me… Oh… that doesn't work :\

  • -2

Wouldn't even go there is if was free.

    • Why?

      • +6

im going to guess scientology related

Value for money is horrendous! The food is very much below average.

I like the place, it's a nice novelty, but holy hell are the prices absurd. Bog standard Chicken Parma for $30. English Breakfast for $30. Those are meant to be cheap, simple dishes, but they do it on a pancake, so apparently that triples the price or something.

        • But there is no money to compare value to in this instance?

        • @GregRust:

It's a free 'offer', most likely something similar to their shop-a-docket deals, buy one short stack get one free.

I doubt they will be handing out free pancakes

        • +3

I paid $5, $6.80 and $7.20 for a full desert menu offerings the last times I've visited.
With their Winter Deal and the Cup day deals - at those prices it was more than acceptable value/money/quality.

          @smpantsonfire:
They have had a few promotions of purely free pancakes this year, e.g. Pokemon Parlour, the current postcodes suburbs promotion.

        • @smpantsonfire: There were free pancakes, iced tea and shakes last summer.

        • @smpantsonfire: they've already sent the voucher link and it's 100% free. I've had lots of completely free meals from there this year and others heavily discounted. Get on it! :)

        • -1

No one with half a brain pays full price for Pancake Parlour. The amount of offers they run and vouchers they circulate there's always something cheap to order.

          @smpantsonfire:

Ok it appears they do hand out stuff for free, I just have such a dislike I never actually looked. My apologies

        • Pancake Parlour is nice if you want to drink unlimited very ordinary filter coffee + milk and get buzzzzzzzzed while listening to awesome 50s and 60's soul music. Bring a laptop and get work done.

  • Does anyone know what the actual offers were last year?
The way I read it was you can sign up for a 'free offer' but that may mean that the offer is free to get but not the item, such as buy one get one free, or buy one get one 1/2 price etc.

    • +2

Last year they were from their drinks range, e.g. free house made lemonade, ice tea, swiss mountain malts. The free Swiss Mountain malts were the best, but they probably are like 800 calories a cup!

      • Better not order dessert then :P

  • +6

Don't know bout u guys.. but i will pay for their pancakes if they can make the weather below 25 degrees during summer. lol

    • +3

Know the feeling. The only good thing a couple of 40C days is for is getting the doona to dry once I wash it. Melbourne gets hellish hot when you have several 40C days in a row.

      • Yep, give us the scoop of ice cream please and hold the pancakes!

  • +1

Rolled into PP this arvo with the missus

    2 x swiss malt (chocolate)
    2 x shortstack with icecream

    Dairy overload/full/no need for dinner

No fuss from staff, knew all about it and scanned happily + loyalty card

Wow, some of the other menu items are pricey, some are very pricey.

Bring on the next 30 day!

    This week's offer:
$4 Creamy Ice Cream Sodas ANY TIME - FREE when it's 30˚

  • This week's offer is free Iced Lemonade or Iced Lemon Tea when it's 30'c!

It's valid now, as it hit 30'c at 9:30am today!

    • There's also a 2 for 1 short stack code on OzB if you're interested

  • This week's offer: $8 Hot Balls ANY TIME, FREE when it's 30˚

A free ice-cream dessert usually sold for $12.90! This is a surprise; I thought it'd be drinks only. Predicted to be 30+ for three days this week! However, with Melbourne's weather, you never know…

  • Anyone redeemed an offer twice in a day? Ie is the barcode unique on a card?

Also couldn't you just get multiple cards per email address?

    • They didn't even scan my card tonight (just had a barcode on the counter)

      • Yes confirmed that this can be redeemed multiple times. just went and they didn't scan the card, so barcodes must all be the same. Took my daughter to two different restaurants for two ice creams.

        • Niiiiiiiiiice!!

Wonder what time shift change is ?

Could go as soon as the txt comes, then late at night…at the same place, or both places, lol.

I bought some random stuff from kmart before and there was a 2-1 shortstack voucher so got that too - didn't need to eat dinner.

Unfortunately they took the voucher - should have snapped a pic of it first

        • @SnakeDoctor: The voucher is always available on the shopadocket website. http://www.shopadocket.com.au/coupon/viewdeal/406294

        • @myisk: Ahh cheers - will keep that handy!

~$50 worth of stuff for $12.90 is not bad, especially for dinner - but don't want to do it too often…

          Swiss malts are back!

May only get 1 day in Mel though :-( - c'mon Friday!

        • @SnakeDoctor:
          Friday downgraded to 28 :(

        • @tanoshiiki:

          Damn it!

Feels like 30 right now if you ask me !

        • @SnakeDoctor: I know, but BOM says it's only 24 right now.

  • Mel temp currently 29.1 on BOM site…!

    C'mon Swiss Malt!

  • LAST #SummerParlour offer for the summer
