  • The 7d mark II and 70-200 f4L at 900 before discount would also be an OK deal…

  • I'm not that familiar with Canon dslrs, but wouldn't the 6D be a better buy at $2k before 20% off? It's a full frame after all. Or is the 7D II more amazing with its apsc?

    • 7d is alot better at sports thanks to its 10 fps and is better built but the sensor is better in the 6d

    • Full frame doesn't mean it's better. It all depends on what you're doing. If you're doing motorsports or just sports in general, 7D would be a better body with the crop factor and fps. If you're doing landscapes, portraits etc then a full frame would be a better choice for deeper bokeh etc.

    • "Better" is judged from perspective. It depends on your requirements.

7D2 has great focusing system and much higher fps in continuous shoot.

6D has bigger sensor, generates "cleaner" image compare to 7D.

There won't be lack of comparison reviews on 6D & 7D2.

  • Wo, Ted's eBay prices sure are inflated

    • Rubbish.. Same price as their retail and online store(s).

      • Though they're usually RRP which is often significantly over street price.

        • I was just highlighting the fact that Teds retail prices and Teds Ebay prices are exactly the same, unlike a lot of other retailers. Yes, I'm aware that Teds are more expensive than many other places but no one is forcing anyone to buy from Teds.

  • When that lens first came out, it didn't cost much less than they're selling the camera + lens for.

The 7D Mk II is a heavy beast but it's built like a tank to take abuse. (I've banged it into more trees, stair railings, and other camera bodies than I can count, and had idiots shoving their luggage into it in a light bag in the overhead bin, and it hasn't blinked.)

That 100-400 lens is sweet, too. I can't justify the cost as I have a 150-600 and really do use the 600 end for wildlife, but my lens is significantly slower at focus than the Canon 100-400 is.

    • I have both a sigma 150-600 sports and the canon 100-400 II, and I find the sigma infinitely better at initial AF than the canon.. The canon does this weird zoom out, then zoom in thing on my 5d3, 1d4 and a6300 and it's really, really annoying..

      • Bringing back an expired post, but which lens adapter are you using between the Canon lens and Sony body? I have several Canon lenses I would love to mount to my A6000 but not sure if it's worth buying the expensive lens adapters, depending on functionality.

        • I use the sigma mc-11.. don't know how it will perform on the a6000, but I owned a metabones iv for a week and wasn't that impressed, especially since it's nearly double the price..
