How Long Does It Take Australia Post to Deliver Overseas Parcels from Everbuying?

I ordered a set of earphones from Everbuying. The tracking shows that it arrived in Australia on the 13th of November but more than 2 weeks have elapsed and I've yet to receive anything. What's the most reasonable next step to take?

What's the most reasonable next step to take?

go in to a room, shut the door, starting screaming "<PROFANITY> Australia Post"

In my experience, orders from everbuying usually take 3-4 weeks.

go in to a room, shut the door, starting screaming "<PROFANITY> Australia Post"

This can also be done online

    • Which I find strange since the exact same item ordered on Gearbest arrived before my item from Everbuying. The one from Gearbest was ordered 2 weeks later.

I think it has something to do with customs. The tracking details don't give any more information after than:

      AUSTRALIA, Arrived —13-Nov-2016 04:55 AM
AUSTRALIA, the transfer of customs— 13-Nov-2016 08:35 AM

Either it's stuck with incompetents or they've lost it.

      • Either it's stuck with incompetents or they've lost it.

        probably both

  • I cant comment on everbuying, but with Aliexpress I am getting stuff ordered 2 weeks ago, and also 2 months ago.

There was some reports that some stuff gets caught ina customs slowdown, but I cant fully confirm that.

I did have a packet of electrical connectors opened by agriculture - yep plastic and steel, "biosecurity check"

Plus some packets are coming via Malaysia, Ukraine Cambodia and even Seychelles

    • Plus some packets are coming via Malaysia, Ukraine Cambodia and even Seychelles

Seems to be wherever they can find cheap postal rates. Zapals uses Malaysia for example. Seychelles is a new one to me.

  • Auspost is a black hole of incompetence and sloth.

Assume at least two weeks minimum, with more for particular cities.

And yes, it's annoying when it takes 3 days to travel half way around the world, but 3 weeks to travel 100km. But till consumers have the right to compensation from auspost for poor service, it will never get better. If you want to feel better, phone up auspost and ask where your parcel is, and keep doing so.

  • If you phone Aus Post: no camel jokes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oMbwWqceNw

  • I'm in an identical situation to you. Bought the Original Xiaomi Mi IV Hybrid earphones on 31st October, and the last tracking step was "AUSTRALIA, the transfer of customs— 13-Nov-2016". I've bought the same pair of earphones from them before and they arrived in a reasonable time, so I'm not too sure what's happened here.
Any updates on your end from when you posted this?

Yeah still nothing. Everbuying said give it 10-15 more business days. I'll contact them on Friday if nothing comes. Same thing with Gearbest, bought the same earphones about a week later but still nothing and my 2 items bought later from Gearbest arrived before the earphones.

      • Appreciate that, it's reassuring to hear it's not only me who is having issues then. I'd be interested to hear what they say on Friday if nothing comes.

No worries, I'll keep you posted.

        • @fossilfuel: Have you guys received the earphones? Im in a similar position, bought on the 1st of November and still haven't got them.

        • @joso:

They said to check the post office. I've checked 3 local ones today and there was nothing. I've told the rep and am waiting for a reply.

@fossilfuel: Just received my headphones today

@joso: That's awesome news! I've received another set of items from Gearbest but they were ordered a week after the earphones. We can only hope to get ours soon.

@joso: Got mine today as well, but from GB, not Everbuying. I have a feeling they've lost them.

        • @fossilfuel: Damn, that really sucks! Hopefully Everbuying compensates you in some way. I have a feeling it's Auspost who have lost it however. Hope everything works out

        • @joso: Thanks! Enjoy your new earphones :D

      They've replied with this:

      Dear fossilfuel,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that has been caused.

Normally, the shipping time is 10-25 business days without any delay.
The precise shipping time can also be affected by factors such as customs, remote locations, peak shipping periods, Holidays and Festivals, inclement weather and operational issues impacting the shipping company.
If you can't recieve your items by 01-01-2017, please feel free to contact us and we will do our very best to assist you.

      Thank you for your understanding.

      Best Regards,

I'll contact them again on new years day if I haven't received anything but they need to give a better response other than "keep on waiting".

      • Pretty hopeless. They're just as clueless as we are, it seems. Appreciate the update. I'll send an email their way too on the 1st.

    • Contacted them today as they've requested. They offered 3 resolutions:

      1. Ship another item free of charge
      2. Refund me the cost of the item as store credit + extra EB points
      3. Refund me via paypal/cc

Very pleased with their options. I chose option 1 since I bought some comply foam tips to go with the earphones and I don't want them to go to waste. If you still haven't received your earphones, I reckon if you contact them, they'll give you the same resolutions. I'll give an update when they ship the item.

  • Same boat with the $18 earphones from everbuying.

  • Hope that is not happening to you.

Bought a $120 Android Tablet from EverBuying. 3 weeks later. Tracking shows "delivered". Well I didn't sign for one and certainly have not got it. We were home all day during the day they reckon it was delivered.

Raised dispute with EverBuying, they offered to refund half $60.

Raised dispute with PayPal - record shows "delivered"- you loose. Not covered. No prove of delivery - too bad - you loose, goodbye.

Contacted EverBuying again, to their credit, they refunded $60. I lost $60.

It seems to me this Shipping Agent used by EverBuying is gaming the system and you loose everytime. Tell me you can't just make the record to show delivered instead of paying out a claim.

Fellow OzBargainers BE WARNED. And if you think PayPal will look after you'll be wrong too.

    • The thing is, the tracking has not changed for those who responded to the thread. For me, it's stuck on:

AUSTRALIA, the transfer of customs— 13-Nov-2016 08:35 AM

Nothing about it being delivered. They said to verify the consignment details (all correct), ask Auspost and then get back to them. I bought the same item from Gearbest as well, same message as above except that was from a week ago.

      • Good luck asking Auspost.

Just an excuse to pass the bug, I think. The whole deal is pretty dodgy to me. I just don't buy from EVERBUYING anymore. Plenty of other places.

Finally arrived 20th December 2016 from original sale date of 30 October. In that time they've released a new version of these earphones. Sound pretty good for $18. I'll stick to banggood for my next Chinese electrical purchase due to their better shipping service

  • I just lodged a chargeback. Avoid these muppets. Product never arrives, unpublished conditions get presented when you go to support (e.g. waiting 2 months before they'll do anything), then you get the runaround, including from reps on here. Not worth the time or effort.

    • I've bought plenty from them before with no issues. It appears strange to me that it would take months to deliver Xiaomi earphones, hence why I believed customs were withholding them because there may have been safety issues with the product. Kinda like time when powerbanks were not allowed to be shipped into Australia.

Ordered a set from GB which took about 7 weeks to arrive. Ordered another set from GB right before Christmas but this time I received them in less than 2 weeks! The parcel in question probably has been lost. I've worked with Aussie courier companies and they're pretty bloody efficient at losing items. As long as Everbuying is willing to provide reasonable solutions (which they have), then I'm content.

      • Making a customer wait 60 days before they'll "act" (making customers jump through numerous pointless hurdles) is not my definition of "content". I'm glad you had success. A Google search will show you how many other people have not.

  • Little update. The Everbuying rep has been extremely helpful. Dispatched a new item on the 3rd and I received it today. All the best to everyone else awaiting their items.

    • Would you mind sharing your conversation logs? I'm hoping to resolve it as well.

    • Never mind! They finally arrived today.

      • Enjoy your new earphones!

  • Be prepared to wait a long time for your goods to arrive. My order took around 41 days. Although it did go from China to Australia…. via Sweden, lol. And I assume part of the delay was here because it went through customs inspection.

The item was worth under $20 including shipping and I did receive what I ordered so I can't complain. On the order it did say that shipping is expected to take up to 25 working days, which would equate to about 5 weeks.

This was my first experience with Everbuying. I have heard Fasttech may be a bit more efficient over EB and GB. Next time I'll give Fasttech a go but I'm still not sure I'd want to be buying any high value items ($100+) off any of these sites yet.
