      None this week… :(

    • Yeah, waiting for discounted cheap phones. Maybe some will appear closer to Xmas.

        Me too, like another $99 Huawei Y6 Elite bundled with $40 perpaid starter back and bonus $50 Eftpos Gift card if activated before end Jan 17. Brings the price down to a nice $29 ( if working out sim at the often half price on sale ). Also giving extra bonus 1.5 GB data before end Jan and bonus 1.5 GB if recharging $40 till 30/11/17 for those who don't like port hopping between Telcos :-)

        Can get unlocked and working on all Telco's full 3G networks as well as most 4G bands including the B28 700mHz ( only missing the 2600mHz starting to be used by Optus and now Telstra ).

        By far the best bang for buck new local phone around this price ( as well as the ZTE blitz currently for $89 at Coles if happy to stick on Optus ).

        • I was not looking before and did not know about the past Huawei deal.
          Also, prefer to stick with Telstra, so Coles ZTE blitz is probably out.
          Good info, thanks! :-)

          @bluesky:

          For the Telstra and Vodafone network, the Blitz is not much use, but the Huawei will work perfectly on the Telstra network 3G and 4G. The other cheapish option is to try to find a Telstra 4GX Plus ( ZTE ) or Buzz for under $79, these perform well for what you pay.

          Have also seen the Telstra 4GX HD on sale for $99 a while ago at Coles, and have also had a play with a Samsung J1 2016 4.5" and that works really nice too, usually $179 locked though but a nice Amoled screen that is really responsive.

          Good luck with your searh.

          @ozhunter68: Thanks, I really appreciate the extra pointers, so I can have some options to consider. Cheers.

          @bluesky:

          No probs. My tip is to straight away get a tempered glass screen protector and nice case cheaply off ebay, and your cheap smartphone will be nice to use ( similar feel to expensive pnone screen ), look classy and well protected.

        • @ozhunter68: Haha, will do that :-) Thanks again!

  • I swear I always buy rice when it's not on sale.

    Kettle chips dropping in size? I swear they used to be 200gm+. Obviously well, still delicious as ever though
