    • Franky, many thanks, unfortunately, our unlimited plans are not on sale :(

      • +3

        That's a verbose NO.

    Great prices.

  • ill trial out iinet 100/40 but if my speeds are nearer to 50 then this might be worth a look

Many thanks, hoping you get a great internet experience which ever company you choose

  • Anyone know how these guys are compared to Skymesh?

    • +1

      wouldn't skymesh match this offer?

      • No idea. Do they match competitors' offers?

Anyway, I'm curious about service, speeds, etc.

        • I think skymesh do match the competitor offers..

        • +1

Confirmation here. Sky mesh matched the offer.

          I love you Skymesh

        • @scrimshaw: After several days Skymesh didn't even bother getting back to us about matching the offer.

  • anyone on MyRepublic? keen to see what the reviews are

Maybe check with one of the grand kids?

      • Yowch

        • Lol just realised the joke.

If your budget is $40 a month and 200GB a month is enough data then I think the 25/5 plan looks like a good deal.

  • If only the NBN had rolled out to where I live :(

  • Are these deals available in Tasmania

    • Unfortunately, we do not serve Tasmania, really sorry

  • Can you please elaborate on New Development and non standard charges may apply?.Like what is considered as a new development and what are the so called non standard charges?

    • When you move to a new development if it is the 1st time it has an nbn connection, nbn will charge $300 no matter what connection it is. If you would like go on our website we will be able to let you know whether you would need to pay for it if you live in a new development.

Non standard is when you want for example your FTTP box to be moved to a different location to what nbn has placed it, this will be additional cost from nbn on an hourly rate

        Thanks for the reply rep

  • Are you guys going to have the bandwidth?

Been hearing a lot of negative things about MyRepublic.

    • So far so good. At the moment, our average connection time is within a couple of days from an order request

      • How long have you guys been around?

Haven't heard of you, so it's always a leap of faith.

We launched in October from a team of engineers. Our Founder is Australian and was an executive at British Telecom and then nbn and decided to start a new telco on the back of nbn, so we know a lot about the nbn and general fibre roll outs . There was a nice article a couple of weeks ago on Comms Day if you receive it?

        • @teleron: Your prices are competitive. But did you purchase enough backend to service a potentially large influx of heavy use customers?

Also, is this pricing locked in after the contract expires?

        • @lostn: Many thanks for your question. Yes, we did purchase enough backend to service this and note we have not created a sale on the unlimited plans for this exact reason. The price is not locked in after the 1 yr, like all telcos we will evaluate the pricing but continuously try to provide our customers the best service at lowest prices. In doing so, we hope that at the end of the contract we can continue to provide such low prices to our customers. So far our average customer has been connected within 1 to 2 working days. Those that required a technician needed to wait a bit longer.

        • @teleron:

Hey guys, I want to take up this deal while it's still around but I'm wondering If I can keep this deal when I move house.

I plan to move to a few blocks down the street perhaps in three months time. Do you charge any relocation fees and will the price remain the same for me?

Or, will you still be running this deal in 3 months time?

        • @scrimshaw: Once you are in this deal you are in this deal for the remaining days of the contract including if you move. The only proviso is that if you move to a place that does not have nbn, we won't be able to supply you (as we only supply nbn area) . So if you move homes to a non nbn location, we would not charge you for the cancellation. Otherwise, the deal stays with you.

  • When signing on for a 12/24 month contract, does the price revert to normal pricing, or do we still pay the promotional rate?
I can't see this stated on the site?

    • Hi Mr cents, many thanks for your question and hope you join the teleron family. We actually had answered the question above: I hope this helps "The price is not locked in after the 1 yr, like all telcos we will evaluate the pricing but continuously try to provide our customers the best service at lowest prices. In doing so, we hope that at the end of the contract we can continue to provide such low prices to our customers. So far our average customer has been connected within 1 to 2 working days. I commend you for these good prices, but have to ask, why are the specials only for the crippled speeds, not 100Mbit?

    • There is a special for 100M speeds for Xmas ($5 off our regular prices) but not as good as the other speeds, we must admit. We are always looking for feedback and may provide also cheaper 100M speeds in the future. One of the main reasons for the 25M and 50M reductions is because many people cannot get close to 100M (those with wireless technology, many with FTTN technology etc)

Tried signing up,no option of BYO modem. That's sad:-(

    • Hi @Ausbargain007, we allow BYO modem only or FTTP, Wireless and HFC. For VDSL products (like FTTN and FTTB) we don't allow BYO model unless we know the user is using an nbn approved modem. If you are, please email us [email protected] and we will gladly call you to provide you a BYO option for FTTN or FTTB (and you won't have to pay anything for a modem or its delivery as long as your modem is nbn approved). If you do have FTTP, Wireless or HFC, and could not find the BYO, when you get a chance to choose a modem or router there are arrows and one of the selections you can choose is BYO.
