Invicta 8926OB Pro Diver with Stainless Steel Bracelet $64.99 + $9.36 Shipping.
Big price drop according to Camel(camelcamelcamel.com) http://camelcamelcamel.com/Invicta-8926OB-Stainless-Automati…
This watch has a big following on Watchuseek for modding

Coin Edge Unidirectional Bezel, Luminous Hands/Markers & Magnified Date Window
40 mm stainless steel case with mineral dial window
Seiko NH35A Japanese Automatic Movement With Hacking & Hand Winding
Screw-Down Crown & Exhibition Caseback
Water resistant to 200 metres

I know this watch cops a flogging because it's an Invicta and they have a dubious pricing strategy…. But at this price point and with a winding and hacking Seiko automatic movement, it's close to unbeatable. I bought a couple for Xmas stocking fillers.

Citizen Nighthawk Pilot Watch GMT S/Steel Eco-Drive WR200m US $179.27 AU ~$240.01 Delivered @ Amazon

Cheapest ever on CamelsX3

I bought one of these a long time ago when the AU currency was much stronger. But given the current currency circumstances this is a deal for a heck of a watch.

  • Eco-drive - solar power, no battery
  • 200m water resitance - same as a genuine diver's watch!
  • Screw down crown
  • The bracelet is high-quality at this price-point
  • Feels very solid with a hefty weight
  • Dual time zone - GMT
  • Date wheel
  • Despite its cluttered dial, I actually find it esy to read at a glance
  • Slide rule to perform calculation - bit useless unless you're a pilot
  • Wears a little larger due to the bezel design
  • Only hardened mineral crystal (no sapphire) - but mine is still flawless and I use it as a beater watch.
  • US model, not Asian model - no engraved caseback, but better indices with more lume.

Worn& Wound Review:

The large round watch case measures approximately 43mm in diameter. It has a thin silver bezel the houses a black dial with a pilot's inner rotating slide rule bezel, which is operated by the secondary crown at 8 o'clock. It has large luminous hands and markers for readability and low-light visibility and dual time (GMT) capability. The triple link bracelet band is composed of brushed silver stainless steel pieces, and it's joined by a push-button folding safety clasp. Other features include a water resistance to 660 feet (200 meters), low-charge indicator window, power saver function, and a scratch-resistant, non-reflective mineral crystal.

    Wow what a submariner ripoff

    • +1

Submariner? Those are just a 40 fathoms ripoff.

Styles in many things can be very similar to their predecessors, this doesn't make them a straight "rip off". Is it very similar? Yes. Would anyone actually think you own a Rolex? No. So let someone who can't afford a Rolex enjoy what is a well built movement in a classic style.

    • Ever heard of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms? If I could be f'd I could post 10 exact rip-off homages in 10 minutes.

Paying homage… you guys must be kidding yourselves.

Enjoy all you want, last time I checked you are free to spend your money on whatever you want. I won't stop you.

  • people mod watches? are they trying to make them run faster or something?

    • Since it's a automatic watch you could overclock it or underclock it by turning the regulator screw that is usually located inside near the watch balance. Haha

    • Since these watches are so cheap from time to time, 'enthusiasts' buy them because the watch case is decent quality and the movement is a Seiko. Basically they want to create their own fantasy dive watch. Some things people mod are: dial, bracelet, hands, bezel, crown, crystal type and material.

I used my US $10 Amazon credit from a couple of weeks ago. No Brainer at that price.

    • +2

And 5.5% cash back thru Cashrewards. 😊

      • +4

thanks fellas, needed a nicer looking watch
turned out pretty really cheap with my amazon credits and gift cards thanks to Ozbarg!

      • Aww damnit, I forgot about Cashrewards. Paid $43USD including delivery with the $5 off.

Whoever thought of etching the Invicta logo on the left hand side of the watch body was crazily smoking too much

    • +1

Exactly. Cheaper to not do it too.

  • +3

dont know why, but i bought one. thanks OP!

    • Do you even like watches?

      • Hahaha yes I have a few. Currently rocking a Seiko SKX781 premier automatic as a daily driver, but have a few others (including a really nice swatch irony automatic chrono). Nothing too fancy or expensive, though :)

  • Thanks OP

  • +2

    Thanks OP.
Using 28Degrees' tip and combining with the $10 Amazon credit it came down to a smidgeon over AU$50.
I don't need it at all, but it'll look nice along with the other 20 watches I seem to have accumulated since joining OzB

  • I bought one last deal to mod and am waiting on arrival of the parts. Already planning on doing another mod so will snap one of these up too.

    • Just tried buying one, looks to be sold out from that seller?

    • What mod are you doing? Photo? Who did you buy the parts from, Dagaz? What is the price breakdown?

Thinking of doing a Milsub with Dagaz dial, sapphire and sword hands.

      • I am doing a Rolex GMT master homage and the next one I am planning on doing is Tudor black bay.
No photos yet because I am still waiting on parts that I ordered.
Bezel from ebay, dial and hands from yobokies.
Including Invicta and tools needed it's probably costing me about $300 for first watch, which is obviously much cheaper than the $12k Rolex I lust for!

        • +1

Have you seen the Corgeut Black Bay? It's runs a Miyoya 8215 auto and hand winding, but no hacking. Plus it has a screw down crown. It's near identical in appearance and decent quality. Check it out.

$300 you can suck up since you'll probably get a lot of satisfaction when finished. Enjoy it

        • @ilikeit:

Yeah I think that's part of the fun is putting it together myself. I hadn't seen the Corgeut so will check it out, thanks for the tip!

I plan on doing similar but will get a coin edge bezel to complete it.

        • @Jinx: Oh yeah I've seen that. Good guide. The Murphy coin edge bezel looks sweet.

  • the price went back while I was thinking if I need another pair of watches :(

    • +1

From memory, it was this price last year. Do a CamelsX3 Pricewatch

      • yep, have already done right away after price went back. Don't really need it, but couldn't resist for the price, so overthinking is too bad sometimes :)

  • +2

Not sure why people are saying price went up or no stock, still adding to cart at $US41.58 plus postage.

    • +1

      Same for me here.

  • +2

    Discounted price went back!

    • +1

Just tried it and worked for me at that price.

      • +2

I meant that discounted price is on again, probably worded it wrongly :)

      • Bought one too!

I was considering getting the titanium version, but it's a 45mm casing instead of 40mm. Link below for anyone interested in a larger casing.
        https://www.amazon.com/Invicta-0420-Diver-Automatic-Titanium…

        • It's big, but still a deal man, you should post this. CamelsX3
The only thing I'd be wary of is that, like steel, titanium comes is different grades (not that I know much). And it is an Invicta…

  • Lol … At first glance I thought the deal was for a new mower, but anyways what a nice watch. Thank you for posting.

  • Coming up as $80.97 and can't be shipped to my address?

  • Yes, says "only one left in stock". Perhaps this is why.

  • "Made in USA or Imported"
    "Japanese movement"
