Your right. Tried it over ice, was alright but that's it. Was really nice with coke, but cheaper whiskey is nice with coke. Wouldn't rush out to get another bottle.

  • Put applicable states in title please.

far out, a 30 year old scotch for $100, ive gotta give this a go.

  • Drinking it as I type. Not bad but I'd drink anything so…

  • There's a lot of excellent options at that price range (that aren't 30yo), is this better than say a Lagavulin?

If your thinking of buying this you might as well get a blended whisky and mix it with coke. Will be smoother.

There is only one way to drink single malt whisky, neat.

    • I think this one is a blended.
They never released the Aldi 40year single malt in australia as far as i know.

Looks like your correct. I bet only 10% of the bottle is 30yo and the remainder is johnny red lable. Lol.

Wrong way round. The age statement is the age of the youngest whisky in the bottle.

I will neg your comment given it is inaccurate.

However, I take your point that just because whisky is old, does not mean it is good.

        • @bargain_knight:

          Lol i was meaning that's why it's only $99.

I thought it was a bit sus for that price for a 30 yo.

        • @Wizz Kidd: they did sell a 40yo single malt for 50euros a few yrs ago. But dont think that was ever done in Aus.

I think it was called Glen Bridge.

  • i've had this in the past and quite happy with it

definitely not up there with a name brand 30 yr old but holds it's own against anothing in a similar price range

  • 3 left at Hunt Club Village Shopping Centre (VIC). Thanks for the post.
