Bose QC35 $499 ($399 after AmEx Cashback) @ Harvey Norman ($337 with Price Match to Videopro after AmEx Cashback)

400

So before anyone negs, this deal has been verified with Hamza to be postable, even if the original RRP is the highest currently. So onto the post.

Harvey Norman have finally decided to sell Bose products after a long time of holding out. So for anyone with the Spend $300 Get $100 Back Amex Deal this is an absolute steal.

Currently the cheapest Australian stock you can price match with is at Videopro for $437 so this will get it down to $337 after the cash back. When reading the Harvey Norman price match policy it seems like you will pay the $499 and then within 7 days of a claim they will send you the $62 difference.

For anyone who is willing to do this make sure to do it before the 30/12 because that's when the Amex deal closes.

Happy purchasing friends!

Edit: They are back on the website!

Well if they do let you price match and if you did register for that AMEX then it is a great deal!

Deal needs a verified by Hamza badge.

I'd want the match up front. Never rely on HN for a match after you have paid.

    • I wasn't 100% sure on the price match policy, that's just what the OB pages said. From what I've heard otherwise, they would price match upfront.

  • Not sure if its a deal, but Qantas have 50% off Sennheiser. I got a pair of PXC 550 (better than these in audio quality, slightly worse in noise cancelling department) for ~42000 qantas points.

If you feel bombing a bose deal with Sennheiser is a good deal then post a deal Kiwizz 🥝

Just price match via chat, they send you a checkout cart link

          It's John =P

    • Thanks jonnoyeo, great suggestion. I can confirm it is possible to pricematch over the live chat.

Nothing new but just my two cents before you do a straight price match. If I was buying this, I'd be ringing around the local stocked HNs and ask if they could possibly do this for $420. If no success, reveal the videopro price and see if they can beat it (noting it is a delivered price). Last resort is paying $437.

  • I checked about a week ago and was surprised Harvey Norman didn't seem to sell any Bose products. But desperate for some QC20's at a good price (and wanting to use AMEX cash back), I checked again today and thought in must have been going crazy because they had plenty of products on their website. Ended up getting the QC20's for $365 - $100 = $265

  • ($337 with Price Match to Videopro)?

    • Read the description. Easy.

  • got this for around the same price after TRS from MS deal, bummer, could have gotten it for ~30 less if I waited ;)

Dunno why you are being negged.

      • I have no idea mate :-O just stated my experience is all

  • $435 is the cheapest for the QC35, I bought them a week ago.

    FYI: Harvey Norman Terms state:

    B. Eligible Cards
Not all cards are eligible for this offer. If your card is ineligible, you will receive an error message and you will not be able to register for the offer. Corporate, business travel, government and store cards are not eligible.

    • Enrolment for the Amex HN offer closed ages ago so no-one needs to worry about the eligibility of their cards anymore.

  • Are bank issued Amex cards eligible?

Like when they issue a mastercard and an amex.

    • Registrations are closed. This offer is only for those that are registered but have yet to purchase.

  • It appears that Harvey Norman have removed the QC35 listing on their website.

    • Yup, no Bose products appearing any more

      • Thats Hardley Normal!

        • +1

Bose products are back online, guys.

    • Classic Hardly Normal.. Says there is 42 products available but looks like they've hidden them.

I will expire the post, thankyou for the update!

Harvey don't want 'professionals' to bankrupt him.

  • I bought QC35 about 2 weeks ago for $394

  • Did you know Sony just made a new set of cans with noise canceling that beats the Bose?

    Bose Isn’t The Best At Noise-Canceling Anymore - Sony MDR-1000X - Head-Fi TV
Sony made the best noise cancelling headphones ever
How Sony MDR-1000X finally beat Bose to become the king of travel headphones.

I'll be waiting to get a set of these. And since Sony doesn't control pricing like Bose and Apple do, we're bound to get big sales on these unlike Bose that rarely get a discount and when they do, they're still too expensive.

    • Sound quality, Sony is better. NC, very close. Comfort level, Bose is still better. Price, Sony costs $600~700, Bose costs $350~$450. I do not think sony can beat Bose unless they reduce the price to the same level.

      • Sony always has inflated rrp but you can get the 1000x for slightly more than the bose, $400-500. Its also newer so the price hasnt come down as far.

  • What about buying instore?

    • Harvey Norman Chadstone had stock yesterday. I price matched the Microsoft $399 offer and made use of the $100 Amex cash back too :-)

      • Do you know who served you by any chance? I just called to check stock and the guy I spoke to the lowest he would go was $475.

        • Sorry, I just don't remember. I don't know how they can try and get around their Price Match Guarantee like they seem to be trying on with you and others. Might have more luck in store?

        • @robbegong:

After I saw your first post, I decided to try my luck in store. I was expecting to have to try and haggle and potentially walk away empty handed. Instead it took all of two seconds to ask for a price match to the Microsoft store ($399) and the sales assistant (Gus) agreed straight away. He said he had matched one yesterday, which may have been you. Cheers to Gus for an easy transaction and thanks for posting robbegong, doubt I would have bothered to try in store if I didn't see your post.

        • @Jstar: Awesome! Glad it worked out for you - it's a great deal and the headphones are great.

  • Just purchased 2 pairs from HN Bundall. They price matched the $437, then I just purchased something else that I needed to round up to $900, then used my 3 Amex cards to pay to get the $300 amex credit. So in my mind they cost $287 each - very very happy! Thank you doweyy.

    • Glad to hear this, thank you for commenting so I could check if the deal was back! $287 is an absolute steal, sell me the 2nd pair on the cheap if you want :)

      • Sorry, needed two, one's for my partner - so happy thank you! I contacted all of my HN stores 2 days ago, even checked yesterday, but they weren't even a stocked item. Then all of a sudden this morning they appeared in stock for Bundall - great timing, two days before the Amex deal expires!

That's all good, glad to hear I could help at least 1 person with this deal!

  • Just purchased online (C&C) with pricematch to Videopro ($437). Pricematching was done over LiveChat not too much drama. Waiting for notification to pick up at a store.

    • Can also confirm I was able to price match online to Videopro. Obviously not as good as though who managed to get in quick enough to price match with microsoft store, but still a good price with the AMEX offer. I've been waiting and waiting in the hopes that they would put the headphones back on the website within the last day of the AMEX offer. Got mine delivered as no stock in my local store, same price no extra delivery charge.

  • I just purchased online with pricematch. They didn't pricematch with Apollo hifi as they don't have multiple stores. Will pick up from Chadstone when ready. Haven't been there in years.

    • That's really weird how HN are denying Apollo. I went into Myer @ Melbourne Central yesterday and the manager price matched $399.20 for me and they're stricter than HN.
